RIP to Bobby Weir Too many great songs with the Grateful Dead to mention, but in 2003 he recorded this great traditional song, Wabash Cannonball, with Dan Zanes. Great stuff from an incredible man.

Two days until Keith Richards turns 82! This is one of my favorite solo songs of his from his first album. Also Bobby Keys on a great saxophone solo. Bobby and Keith shared their birthday and much more!

I've got some great new music to share with you. Meadowbrook Circle released two new songs today on all streaming apps. The Center of You and I Don't Know Your Name are the song titles. Meadowbrook Circle is lead by Sean Micheal Sullivan who had one of our favorite albums of last year, Torn Falls and Thunder. The four-piece band has an excellent americana sound with some great lyrics. Check them out on their social pages and definitely check out the new songs. They also occasionally do a live show called The Gilded Palace of Sin, so you need to give them a listen!

Meadowbrook Circle’s debut self-titled release blends Americana and alternative folk with harmony-rich vocals and reflective storytelling. “The Center of You” and “I Don’t Know Your Name” showcase the band’s Midwest roots, acoustic warmth and melodic clarity inspired by artists like Ir...

I have decided to retire from radio and the Sunday and Wednesday Playlist shows. I would like to thank the folks at KDSN for giving me the opportunity, the listeners that reached out to me to talk about music, and the musicians from places like Germany, Canada, Wisconsin, Massachusetts, Florida, and especially Iowa that sent me their music or ideas or comments. I will always be a fan of people that make music! Thanks again and listen to good music whenever you can.
