It's always "support small business" in a small town until its someone you or your family doesnt know.

I am not from Duncan, Oklahoma. I moved here about 3 years ago to be closer to family who lives here. My family is not from here. They moved to the area in 2009ish. My family isnt known. We have no ties or connections to the town besides our few friends.

The small businesses I do support whether spending my money at their business or sharing a business post for them so my friends and family can see, or even word of mouth, dont reciprocate that same energy for me. It's always "support small and local businesses" until its someone you dont know. I am exhausted from the small town/mob mentality that revolves around small, local businesses. I am done supporting those who choose not to support me and my businesses back. Simple 🤷‍♀️
