Actor and singer-songwriter Alicia Witt has played her piano-driven pop-rock music all over the world, including a performance at the renowned Grand Ole Opry, as well as opening for Ben Folds Five, John Fullbright, Rachel Platten, Jimmy Webb, and Bob Schneider. She will be releasing her next album, The Conduit, in 2021, which she co-produced alongside Jordan Lehning (Lydia Luce) and Bill Reynolds

(Band of Horses). Previous releases include 15000 Days, produced by Grammy award-winning producer Jacquire King (Kings of Leon, Norah Jones, Dawes) and the Ben Folds produced Revisionary History, hailed by Nashville Scene as “a piano-pop gem that sounds by turns like “Grey Seal”-era Elton John, an alt-universe Fiona Apple and a film-noir chanteuse notching her nights in cigarette burns on the fallboard.”

Also known for her decades-long career as a prolific TV/film actress (beginning with David Lynch's 'Dune' at the age of 7), Alicia’s music has been featured in numerous movies. Her most recent Hallmark Christmas movie, 2020’s Christmas Tree Lane, features two of Witt’s original songs. Alicia was most recently seen in Netflix’s I Care A Lot, starring Rosamund Pike, and leading the cast of Modern Persuasion. Other credits include Orange Is The New Black, The Walking Dead, ABC’s Nashville, Two Weeks Notice, Mr Holland’s Opus, The Sopranos, Cybill, and Urban Legend.

Thank you to Rolling Stone Germany, AllMusic, and The Sun for taking the time to listen so deeply and to understand what I hoped to share through these songs.
This album is deeply personal to me. It holds grief and gratitude, love and loss, memories and lessons gathered over many years. David’s friendship, mentorship, and the profound impact he had on my life are woven into its spirit, but ultimately these songs are about all of us — the ways we love, the ways we let go, and how we carry the people we’ve loved with us.
To have the music received with such warmth and generosity means more than I can say. Thank you for hearing it. 🤍

Twin Peaks, 1990 ⭐️ one of the many gifts david lynch gave me: he wrote the role of gersten hayward for me when i had first moved to LA, after we worked together in DUNE 7 years earlier. i was 14 here. i had no idea he kept the cameras rolling after we had filmed a take, and was capturing this boogie woogie i started playing between setups - i was as surprised as anyone else when this appeared over the end credits instead of the iconic image of laura palmer with angelo badalamenti’s theme music. forever grateful for the impact he had on my life, and in turn, my music❤️

on friday, my new album in tribute to david lynch came out into the world. Between Heaven and Earth. it wouldn’t exist without him (to put it mildly).

i spent friday in my beloved london, playing on a Roland, doing photos and filming with Rod Brakes for a soon to be released in depth interview i did with .

we talked all about the making of Between Heaven and Earth, the ways that david lynch shaped every aspect of it, the collaboration with Joe Henry and the synergy with the extraordinary band who recorded this album live with me.

now getting ready to perform at STRONGROOM on wednesday sept 2, with Rough Trade. i’ll be holding a conversation, answering your questions, performing some songs from the new record live, and autographing/personalizing your copies of Between Heaven and Earth on double vinyl and CD.
