The power was restored on Thursday, September 11th. Just in time for the girls who had planned their visit that weekend. Here is one of the projects Margo was working on from Stampin'Up

Last Thursday we had a terrible storm. It split a tree on the property which fell onto the road. After taking a closer look we discovered that it took out the telephone pole which supplies power, phone and internet to the Dragonfly. It even pulled the meter right off the side of the house. Much to our surprise we still had power, telephone and internet at the house. We had an electrician stop by and check out the circuit box inside the house. All was good. So we spent the weekend crafting.

Ward decided he wants to get the telephone pole out of the middle of the yard and put in an underground line. He spent part of the day Sunday digging a ditch and getting ready for when the power company would stop by.

They stopped by today, turned off the power and informed us that they wouldn't be back until next week to hook us back up again.

So, for the first time since we opened the Dragonfly, the house will be temporarily closed until the power is turned back on sometime next week.
