This month’s first meeting (8/5/26) was good even though we all missed our special organizer Abby, who had a commitment and couldn’t be there.
We all recognize that life has these moments that change what we want to do into what is needed at that time. Thank the Lord we have art to soothe and heal some of our trying times!
Art certainly is therapy for me. There is something built into our DNA that calls us to creativity.
One member just did a thing with collage one day, and said how much it meant to her to have two hours just to be free to do that away from her responsibilities.
Our group is social and casually based, all have an interest in art. Nobody has to meet any expectations of a project and all have the freedom to discuss art, learn about art and new methods of creating, share their art, or just work on their own thing.
If you have anything you are working on feel free to bring it, or if there’s something you would like to do someday we can talk about it.
One member said she just likes to do fiber arts, and last night she was playing with watercolors. Another member loves art but said she can’t draw anything, and that’s just fine, yet each week she’s bringing in something she made. I celebrate her for her interest and her exploring art! That warms my heart!
Crochet, sewing, writing, painting, sculpting, on and on is creativity and art. We are happy to have a place to share it!
Let’s meet again on Wednesday, August 20, at 6 pm!
