Intro-

We are stationed in Yoncalla, Drain and Eugene Oregon. The Name-
The name “GOOD KARMA BAND” finally came to us on 3/6
/03 it was as clear as day when we were told we were good karma by people in the community we helped, I couldn’t except any other name. Since then we did what most bands do, take a break, but I(Shon) still played on. Logo-
The GKB Logo is a calming art form with the colors of the Chakra letting everyone know they’re loved. Genre-
We play a variation of Soft Nostalgia Experimental Modern alternative Rock (AKA) “Folk Rock”. Sound-
We have the crisp sound of the 70's and use technology of the future. Equipment-
We get New age sound and Old age quality with highly rated Pro analog equipment through retro speaker boxes that produce a sound that brings back the old style clarity of vocalists. We also pump out good earth shaking bass out of a powerful 21 inch subwoofer. The PA can support a crowd of 500 to 1000. Short BIO-
GOOD KARMA BAND began as a family wide affair in 2003. After helping people in the community for many years they were eventually told they were “good karma” and adopted the name. The GKB logo is a calming art form with the colors of the chakra and a backwards K for modernism. At first it was a father, son and cousin trio. When the band took a break, front man Shon played on. In 2012, Shon along with “NoDoubt” and “Captain PD” formed a band and created a small video/audio recording studio producing an entertaining live stream every Saturday on Ustream & YouTube at 7 p.m. The band plays a variation of “soft nostalgia experimental modern alternative country rock” (folk rock). Currently it has become a space to help artist of all types, recording and live-streaming. Long BIO-
In the late 70’s early 80’s my father Jim had a band called “Time in Motion” that included two of my uncles. After a few years they split up and my father was devastated, so for many years he didn’t want to have anything to do with a band. But over several years of getting one item at a time, a guitar here and mixer there then a microphone then a drum set, it eventually In 2012 became our current band “GOOD KARMA BAND”. It was formed my “NoDoubt” who we brought in to film some dance moves, popped in around 2013, at the same time the band started growing fast, playing bass for the first time laying down some studio recording tracks, NoDoubt has the strongest drive to learn I have ever seen. “Captain PD” does an amazing Country rock guitar which is indeed my father Jim. Then there is me Shon, I am the Drummer, Lead singer and band leader. Most of the songs we play today were written and re-written which have been carried with me through the years and haven’t been forgotten. Then Present day We found our calling, which is to help lift others and watch their success ;)
Accomplishments-
We have developed a small video/audio recording studio that we use Regularly to Record and Upload to Youtube. We perform an entertaining live stream every Saturday on Ustream and Youtube at 7pm. Once a month we film for a TV show called Compassionate Friends in Salem Oregon. And recently have found ourselves on Radio, Internet Radio, Magazines and of course on Stage. in 2018 We developed a dedicated Studio in a garage where we have numerous bands and friends join us in producing TheGKBshow, feel free to contact us to join us :)
