There was a time when I forgot who I was.

Somewhere between the responsibilities, the hurt, the noise, and trying so hard to be everything everyone else needed me to be, I lost pieces of myself along the way.

But then I started creating again.

And somewhere in the quiet moments with a paintbrush in my hand, I found something I didn't realize I had been searching for all along: me.

Being an artist isn't just something I do. It's a part of who I am. It's woven into my DNA, passed down through generations of artists before me. Creating feels like reaching back through time and carrying a piece of them forward.

I've also always had a deep love for nature. The way light falls through the trees. The movement of water. The colors of flowers. Animals, oceans, sunsets, clouds, the tiny details most people might walk right past.

I see God's fingerprints everywhere.

His creation inspires my creation.

When I look at nature, I don't just see something beautiful. I see the creativity of the One who created it all. And when I paint, I feel like I'm simply responding to what He has already shown me.

But more than that, creating is where I meet God.

When I'm painting, I don't always have the right words. I don't always understand what He's doing in my life. Sometimes I just put paint on a canvas and let my hands speak for the things my heart can't explain.

And somehow, in that process, He reminds me that I am still here.

That I am still His.

That there is beauty in the rebuilding.

Art has become healing for me. Not because every painting fixes something, but because every time I create, I feel a little more like myself again.

So when you see my paintings, I hope you see more than color on a canvas.

I hope you see pieces of my story.

Pieces of my faith.

Pieces of the world God created that I can't help but admire.

Pieces of the generations before me.

And most of all, pieces of a woman who is finding her way back to herselfβ€”one brushstroke at a time. 🎨

I don't just make art.
I am an artist.
And I believe God gave me this gift so I could become more of who He created me to be. πŸ’œ

Took this canvas outside after I finished the bubbles and splashed some white on it and threw my acrylic coated brush at it and few times. It was fun. Close to being finished 😊

I've been staring at this painting for a while, trying to figure out what I wanted to do with the water behind what will eventually be an octopus in the center. πŸ€”πŸŒŠ

Then I decided… bubbles! πŸ˜‚ So I did a few really quickly using a cup, and honestly, I LOVE how they're turning out. They definitely need more detail, and I may add some smaller bubbles in between the bigger ones, but either way, it finally feels like this piece is coming together!

I'm sure the octopus will be making an appearance soon. πŸ™πŸŽ¨

I've decided I need to finish the pieces I've started and actually see them through to the end. So… 1 down, 6 to go! πŸ˜¬πŸ˜‚

It's gonna be fun, though! πŸ’œπŸŽ¨
