The DOMA ARTS COMPLEX is happy to welcome Los Angeles photographer Sandy Weiner, who is joining us for our Take The Shot Exhibition!

Sandy Weiner is a Los Angeles based photographer who started in the 1970s documenting LA architecture, this led to a 30 year career working for Beverly Hills real estate brokers, architect and advertising agencies. Life magazine, Architectural Digest, Scholastic Magazine, Women's Sports, Orange County Magazine, and Petersons Photography have published his photography. He has participated in an exhibition at Barnsdale municipal gallery called "LA seen by LA artist" He taught photography to youth at risk with a grant from Sony Corporation and the L.A. Department of Recreation and Parks. Landscape and nature are his current subjects of interest.

Hello Shaynna Rogers! And Welcome! It’s so exciting to showcase your work and the beautiful aesthetics you have found around LA and California.

“I am a self-taught photographer born and raised in Los Angeles. Growing up here has inspired me to look beyond the city’s familiar image and explore new ways of seeing it. Whether through layered imagery or quiet everyday moments, my work is driven by light, color, and atmosphere, offering perspectives of Los Angeles that feel more personal than iconic. I hope my photographs encourage viewers to slow down and see the city with fresh eyes.”

We are absolutely thrilled to welcome the incredibly talented photographer Raul Cortes! Come experience Raul’s powerful visual storytelling and see the figures pop off the page in this series of photographs

“Los Angeles is more than home—it shapes my work. Its streets, light, and people remind me that beauty often lives in overlooked moments. Photography has taught me to slow down, look closer, and find meaning in quiet gestures and ordinary places. My work invites viewers to pause and see the familiar anew. I photograph life as it is: imperfect, fleeting, joyful, and fragile. Rather than idealize the world, I aim to preserve the honesty of a moment before it disappears.

Ultimately, my photographs are about presence, finding poetry in the everyday and honoring the moments that define us.”

Welcome back Robert Gideon! It’s always great to see the detailed and amazing shots you find and capture!

Originally from the east coast, Robert Gideon has called Los Angeles home for the past 10 years. An engineer by training, he brings a careful and measured eye to his photographic work, tempered by a deep understanding of the technology being used and its limitations. Robert is largely self-taught and first learned the art of photography using his dad’s Exakta Varex IIa back in the 1980’s, shooting black and white negatives and developing them in his high school dark room. He is an award-winning photographer whose work is held in private collections. His photos have been on exhibit in juried group shows in the SoCal area as well as in galleries, museums, and community art spaces across the United States.

Please welcome the multi- talented Sam Labrecque to DOMA ARTS COMPLEX!

“Born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, Sam Labrecque is an award-winning touring performance artist and multidisciplinary storytelling creative. Their past stage and film work centers on themes of heart, humor, and humanity, and her current mission is to expand her expression through new (to her) artistic mediums, deemed SAM:MAS. "city trees" is their first original photography subject series, serving as a love letter to the signature parasitic beacons of Los Angeles.”

We are thrilled for SAM:MAS, and the expansion of the expression into brand- new artistic mediums. Featured in the exhibition is “city trees”, her debut original photography series.

We are thrilled to welcome back landscape and wildlife photographer Chantel Chua!

“Based in California, I am a wildlife and landscape photographer drawn to the quiet moments that often go unnoticed. Through my work, I strive to tell stories that reveal the beauty, emotions and connection found in the natural world.

Whether capturing a fleeting wild life encounter or the changing light across a landscape, my goal is to create photographs that invite viewers to slow down, look closer, and experience nature through a new perspective.”
