Lines, leaves, and flowers are healed, most of the rest is fresh here. Absolutely love working on fruit and food tattoos. I seriously love doing these. I don't know what it is, but it's just my favorite thing ever. (helps when you have a lovely client as well!) I wish I didn't always have such a tough time getting good pictures! Always a work in progress I am!

Coverup piece for a regular client of mine. Love working on unusual projects like this! first pic is the new piece, second is where it's located (significant because it is directly under another piece we did almost two years ago.) Love how that one has healed as well.

Story behind this unusual design: It is based on an archeological find on his grandfather's property that he and his father found and reassembled, together. The original tattoo just did not do it justice! (old tattoo, third image, not by me)

"A Heart's a Heavy Burden"

Calcifer from "Howl's Moving Castle".

Custom design. When the client looks at it they can read the quote and see a semicolon.

This continues to be one of my favorite projects, helps that I love getting to spend time with my brother-in-law whom I don't get to see as often as I would like! This is Mixcoatl, the Aztec personification of the milky way. This is based on an ancient relief carving on a vessel.

The first picture is healed with fresh white highlights, the second is healed up before the highlights (thusly it is unshaven). You would not believe that this was about 8-10 different bite-sized sessions. He is a busy guy so we cut it down into smaller sessions after the longest first session was mapping it all out/creating a semi permanent stencil in gray and blocking off the blacks. I am so happy that this healed so consistently, you cannot tell that it was all those sessions, sometimes just a few square inches at a time getting fully shaded, session to session.

Amazingly this is not the end of this piece! We have more to do so stay tuned!
