And this is The Booth Fairy Project. My passion is connecting people. This project is all about creating opportunities for kindness, connection, fun and community. It all started when I first got to run a ‘Free Advice Booth’. I absolutely loved it! I had one built of my own and set it up everywhere, interacting and inspiring people all over the Southeast. Over the years of following my passion, it

has led me to create volunteer activities & experiences that facilitate joy, inspiration and profound connection. This is how the Booth Fairy Project was born. Seeing that these simple and FREE experiences inspire so much joy and LOVE, it seems silly not to keep doing them. This is the plan.

Hugs in high demand!
It felt great to be out in the world Saturday with my booth in downtown Asheville.
Hugs seemed to be the hot menu item that day. The first four customers ordered a hug. Straight up. No gluten-free, no silliness about it.
So we went to it. I hugged them and held them. I encourage them to hold on, to take deep breaths,ensuring them that I’m a hug professional and I know what I’m doing, that I needed the embrace just as much as they did.
It was beautiful. I felt people’s guards come down, one teenager wept in my arms, several people agreed to wear a FREE HUGS sticker so they could walk away and be a hug ambassador and create even more connection in the world…

I noticed folks walking by and smiling, looking appreciative to see such random acts of love and kindness in public.

Can’t wait to do it again! I’m so grateful for the opportunities.🩷
