The Amp is hosting a production of the award-winning play "What The Constitution Means to Me" from Pioneer Productions Company, Inc., presented by Morris Arts! The play follows playwright Heidi Schreck's teenage self as she and other generations of women navigate the world forged by our country's founding documents. Tickets available at the link in our bio!
This presentation is being funded by NJEDA's A.R.T. Phase II Grant.

In lieu of this year’s annual Connecting Dover Cultural Connections Festival, Connecting Dover member organizations like The Amp, West Morris Capital, Atlantic Health, The Partnership for Maternal and Child Health, Child and Family Resources, Zufall, United Way of Northern New Jersey, Dover Public Schools, County College of Morris, and many others have generously donated literacy kits, disaster backpacks, school supplies, toothpaste and toothbrushes, along with printed resources in both English and Spanish. These are being collected by Connecting Dover volunteers into Resource Bags that will be distributed to the community at various locations so that they don’t miss out on all of the information, resources, and supplies that they’d normally be able to receive at the festival. The Cultural Connections Festival will return next year but we at The Amp and West Morris Capital are so glad that we could provide a place for the volunteers to drop off the resources and bag them!

We're thrilled about the upcoming final encore performance of Pioneer Productions Company, Inc.'s production of Heidi Schreck's "What the Constitution Means to Me.” Following a sold-out run of the show in downtown Morristown earlier this year, and two previous encore weekends, the original cast and production team are coming together for a final encore performance at the Amp in Dover, NJ.
This performance is being presented in partnership with Morris Arts on October 2, 2026, at 8pm!

This award-winning show from depicts four generations of women navigating the power structures America's founding document created in our nation. Northern New Jersey-based ceramic sculptural artist Kaylee Gernant is The Amp’s Ceramics Director. She received her BFA from Alfred University in May 2024, where she primarily studied large scale figural sculpture and hand-built pottery. She learned clay mixing, glaze chemistry, kiln loading and firing. Kaylee focused on sculpting the female figure, for her senior BFA exhibition, “Body Language”

“In my artistic practice, I have always been drawn to the human figure. I approach the medium of clay as a way to capture the tactile, organic nature of the body—its fluidity, its softness, and its resilience.”

Now that she’s running the Ceramics Studio at The Amp, she’s been able to explore even more methods to in turn teach Ceramics students in our Ceramics Workshops and Courses.

“Surface is something I have put on the back burner for years. Shape and form has always been my focus when it came to ceramics whether it’s a vessel or a sculpture. I had the privilege the play with atmospheric firing and fell in love with soda! Now in my new home at The Amp, I knew I needed to adapt to a different firing and go to cone 5/6. This new functional body of work has been so different than any of my previous work and has taught me a lot about myself as an artist.”

This wonderful program, made possible through funding from the NJ EDA's A.R.T. - Phase II grant, helps the area's seniors stay physically and mentally active while they form and strengthen bonds with others in the community.

Morris Arts is bringing a FREE Memoir Writing Workshop to The Amp on Thursdays for veterans and their families ages 55 and up! Join author and poet Paul Rabinowitz for a series of sessions designed to help you put your lived experience on the page, passing the lessons you've learned and the memories you carry on to the next generation.
