We are extremely proud of Drew Moyer and Jackson Parr for their participation in the PMEA District 7 Chorus Festival this weekend. They dedicated many hours on Friday and Saturday to rehearsing and preparing for the final performance alongside over 200 choir students representing 7 counties. The festival, held at Boiling Springs High School, was conducted by Dr. Craig Denison of IUP. Drew and Jackson not only gained a meaningful and enjoyable musical experience, but also represented our district with excellence, professionalism, and pride throughout the festival. A huge thank you to Ms. Teter for hosting a wonderful festival!

Yesterday morning, we did a bunch of tours including Cambridge and then Lexington and Concord. We followed the Battle Trail to see the sites of the first battles of the Revolutionary War. We had the opportunity to stand on the Lexington Green and walk across Concord’s North Bridge. It was also exciting to see the homes of Louisa May Alcott, Ralph Waldo Emerson and Thoreau’s Walden Pond as we drove past them.

After our tour, we went to Salem. We had lunch on our own and then we attend a sight and sound presentation at the Salem Witch museum.

We ended the night with a beautiful dinner cruise on the Spirit of Boston around the Boston Harbor!

We had a very busy day yesterday! Renaissance performed in the Old North Church in the morning, took a 2 hour walk following the freedom trail, performed at Quincey Market, went to the Boston Aquarium, enjoyed a group dinner at Margaritaville, and attended a beautiful concert by the Boston Symphony Orchestra.

Standard 12 and the Jazz Band had a great 2 day trip to Mansfield University! Students each sang/played in a workshop with Mansfield professors and students. They also had the opportunity to sit in on several ensemble rehearsals and classes! We are so proud of how they performed and presented themselves.
