still messing around with this weird little 4” thing. one of those pieces that gets dusty on the shelf while you decide if it’s worth more effort. for various reasons i felt like the Ugly outweighed the Beauty (esp. in the camera lens). but irl there’s an ugly duckling charm. i’m still lightening up a few spots—distancing from turd domain.
plus, there’s a heart (v***a). so i mean….

also, if you’re still reading: wanna weigh in on the “Posts with audio can get more reach”? i like relevant audio on the clips, but in static art posts? generally unnecessary, forced, annoying, and distracting. now, please, get off my lawn. if you would.

leatherhard stage. adding bumps, follicles, and divots for mixed media. texturing used to be the most brainless stage—filling smooth areas with repetitive marks. it’s gotten harder as i hem, haw, second-guess, and over-think every little area. can i go back to my less-picky, more spontaneous self?

so proud and happy my Adeline. she just performed as Kira, 💃🏻 the lead role in “Xanadu, Jr.” (the Olivia Newton-John role!)
weeks ago, after scoring the role, we hit the script hard. i couldn’t help much with the songs (aside from “can you do it louder?”) but we memorized a boat-load of lines. she nailed everything and in the process discovered that even as a relatively shy kid, she can stand tall in front of hundreds and not flinch. still shaking my head.

also, today she turns 12. 🥳
