In the three years that we've been on Faire we've sold to 47 different retailers in 22 states and 1 other country. 🤯

Of those, 35 have placed an order within the last year. Over the next couple weeks, you'll see our regional map posts highlighting all the shops that have bought our artwork! Don't see one in your area? Comment here with what shops you think share our vibes, and then go tell them that if they stocked Critter Butts, you'd buy it! We'll reach out to them too - but it makes an impact if they know their customers are hoping to see our merch.

I'm not gonna start tagging shops in this post, it'd be too hard to choose which to include when the limit is 20.

Also please don't judge my map regions- choosing where to put those lines was the hardest part of this whole process. 😂

We’re about to spend the second half of the year moving Out of a Very Spacious rented home… and onto a few acres of forest, where we’ll need to build a home and studio right away in order to have any indoor space.

In an attempt to preserve what shred of sanity we may still have, we’ve scaled back our shirt offerings in our etsy shop for the month of August to Only what’s already printed - so way less color options, only standard t’s, and not all designs. Please help us clear out this inventory! We don’t wanna move with all these shirts y’all.

The shop will go on vacation mode starting September 1st, and might stay that way for a few months! Consider yourself warned. Our plates will be over-full trying to keep our own brick & mortar stocked, wholesale orders fulfilled, and doing the whole building-a-roof-over-our-heads thing.

My main goal for our ‘online presence’ (lol) in August will be to update our website with a Full & beautiful/more detailed list of all our retailers around the continent, and to highlight those retailers here as well. That way if you’re not local to central Virginia and you’re hurting for some CB merch, you might be able to find some closer to home. We’re in like 19 states or something at this point (f*ckin nuts), and our most Recent retailer is our first in Texas - which feels like a very sassy win, tbh. If you don't see a retailer near you- help us out & tell your fave stores they should be stocking Critter Butts.

So. Thanks for your patience (aka we will Not indulge you if you whine at us, we’ll be too tired) while we make this big transition. We’re hoping to come out on the other side of it rejuvenated, delighted with our lives, and with a better vision of what the future of Critter Butts looks like. See you there.

Be the chaotic goat you want to see in the world this holiday season 😌😘

We've managed to get dozens of etsy orders shipped out wayyy ahead of schedule so they'd make the xmas deadline (as well as a few dozen more close on their heels, from people ordering in the last few days).

We've done two restocks in .beautiful.idea this week, including a Big batch of sweatshirts.

We have not yet restocked in Fxbg but they're next on the list 😅

This time of year is impossible to keep up with unless we overextend ourselves, and we're trying REALLY really hard Not to do that this year. So. Thanks for your patience & understanding if allllll the CB options you've hoped for haven't been available in the location of your choice. We're doing our best. 💌

Social media is real rough on our brains this year and we've had to step back considerably, so messages here may not get read for like, a handful of weeks.

But we check email most days of the week! Often multiple times a day. So please do both of us a favor and send an email if you would like a timely reply. We want to answer your questions quickly, I promise - we just really, truly cannot do that well on this platform.

Hiiii are you still holiday shopping? I'm sorry to say you won't see us these last few markets of the year (though you should still go! There are many lovely artists braving the cold to share their work).

You can find all your needed Critter Butts güds .beautiful.idea in downtown Charlottesville, in our Etsy shop (website is still under construction 😅), and at over a dozen shops around the country!

This year has been a lesson in conserving energy and prioritizing focus & capacity, and it's been a hard one to internalize. We've found that three years of doing weekly+ markets is no longer sustainable for our introverted, spicy squirrel brains - so we've been making more time for improving our studio spaces, cooking up bigger long term plans for the shop, improving our workflows for fulfilling online & wholesale orders (that just keep coming somehow!), and attempting to rest & feed our creative appetites.

We miss seeing all your sassy faces every week! So please still keep in touch, visit us at the shop, keep an eye out for occasional event appearances, and know that we're out here making silly critter art & doing our best to figure out how to keep this ridiculous little business chugging on into the future.

Thanks for your support these past 4.5 (!) years - it's still mind blowing and deeply humbling to be making our living this way, and we appreciate every single purchase, comment, review, and message sent our way.

We're finally getting our Etsy & Faire up to date with our newest products! Patches and prints are up, along with the newest glow in the dark stickers. Additional notebook options are being added soon, and hopefully this will all reappear on a new/refreshed website later this month.

Thanks to the many dozens of people gifting our feral creature art to their loved ones this season - we're loving all the notes & really enjoy getting to put stickers on so many packages every day. 🥹
