Night vision changes what you can see. Training changes what you can do with it.

At The Ranch TX, night training goes far beyond learning how to operate under NODs. Students work through the problems that darkness changes: movement, communication, light discipline, target identification, positional awareness, CQB, weapon manipulation, and decision-making when visual information is limited.

With 24/7 training capability, an 11,000 sq. ft. live-fire Shoothouse, urban training areas, ranges, vehicles, and structures, teams can take night vision from isolated drills into the environments where those skills actually have to work.

Because owning night vision and being capable under night vision are two very different things.

No early shutdown. No going cold at dark.

Knowing how to stop a bleed is one thing. Doing it while the rest of the problem is still unfolding is something else.

Our 5-Day Tactical Combat Casualty Care / Combat Lifesaver Course takes students beyond individual medical skills and puts them into immersive scenarios where they have to assess the scene, locate casualties, control bleeding, communicate, move patients, and make decisions under pressure.

And we don’t limit the training to a textbook or standard med bag.

Throughout the course, we integrate tools, technology, vehicles, medical equipment, and products from companies like and so students can work through different solutions, understand where they fit, and experience how equipment performs when it’s incorporated into the larger problem.
