Colleen, the North Dakota Junior Duck Stamp Program Coordinator, stopped by the Arts Center to tell us a little about the program and invite everyone to Duck and Draw this Saturday!

🎨 Saturday, October 24, from 1–3 PM

Bring your kids in grades K–12 to learn about the program and start drawing their duck for 2027!

Teachers are welcome to stop by, too, and find out how they can use the program with their class.

It's free to participate, and we'll have paper and drawing supplies ready to go. No need to bring anything!

While the North Dakota Junior Duck Stamp Program exhibition is on display at the Lake Region Arts Center, you can also purchase the Federal Duck Stamp for $25 right here!

The Federal Duck Stamp is more than a hunting stamp. Proceeds from stamp sales help protect wetlands and wildlife habitat, providing essential places for waterfowl and other wildlife to feed, nest, and thrive while preserving our natural resources for future generations.

A current, signed Federal Duck Stamp also serves as a pass for free admission to national wildlife refuges that charge an entrance fee.

📍Stop by the Lake Region Arts Center in downtown Devils Lake to see the Junior Duck Stamp exhibition and pick up your Federal Duck Stamp!

That’s the goal of the North Dakota Junior Duck Stamp Program! The exhibition is touring our state and is currently on display here in Devils Lake throughout October.

Stop by the Lake Region Arts Center downtown to see the amazing artwork created by young artists from across North Dakota! We’d love to see you! 🎨

If you didn’t make it to the Lake Region Arts Festival this year, you still have a chance to see all the amazing artwork that was entered. The exhibit is up through Saturday, and there is some fantastic work to see!!

Artists could enter in five categories:
- Painting
- Drawing/Works on Paper
- Photography
- Mixed Media
- 17 & Under.

➡️ While the winners in 4 of the 5 categories have already been selected (see photos below), the 17 & under category is still up to YOU! Stop by the Arts Center to see the entries and cast your vote for your favorite.
