Campfire Film Cooperative Join a Warm Community of Storytellers, Filmmakers, Artists and Musicians

Campfire Film Cooperative is a non-profit aiming to bring together filmmakers, film enthusiasts, photographers, musicians, and artists of all kinds in the Detroit area by holding a unique mixer event on the third Thursday of each month. Join Campfire Film Cooperative and Back Alley Cinema at The Scarab Club, one of Detroit's oldest and most iconic artist clubs, for an exciting six-part event desig

ned for filmmakers, cinephiles, and creatives looking to connect and explore the art of filmmaking - frame by frame. Each monthly session will feature a 10–15 minute film projected on 16MM film, followed by an engaging discussion and Q&A led by Back Alley Cinema. After the Q&A, stick around for a networking mixer featuring live music from a local artist, drinks, and conversation about film, creativity, and collaboration. Whether you're a filmmaker, film lover, or just curious about the process, this is the perfect place to connect, get inspired, and celebrate cinema in its purest form—all in the historic setting of The Scarab Club, a creative hub that has fostered Detroit's artistic community for over a century.
