As someone who started shooting guns at, like, nine years old, and who knows a weird amount about fi****ms and safety because I was raised by my dad, who hunted his whole life, there’s nothing, and I mean nothing, that pi**es me off more than these evil little twerps running around with weapons, thinking they’re big tough guys.

Get a f*cking life, losers. Quit killing innocent people because a bunch of other losers running this sh*t show put a gun in your hand.

Had the honor of talking to Donavan McKinney today, who is currently representing Michigan’s 11th district BUT, is running for Michigan’s 13th district for the 2026 election. If you live in the 13th district, I promise you, this is WHO you need to vote for.

This is an extraordinary intelligent, personable and wholesome guy who just wants to make a difference not only on the city he was born and raised in, but wants to make a difference in this country as whole.

If you want someone that’s trying to keep big money of politics and listens to YOUR voice and NOT PAC’s, then this is your guy.

Listened to KT Tunstall and cried today.

It’s bizarre when you listen to albums from your childhood that you listened to religiously.. I can name so freakin many.. that truly shaped me as an artist and musician and I wasn’t conscious of it for so so so so long….

So many deep cuts on so many records that I listened to and I’m like.. “oh shiitttt yah… that makes so much sense.”

But when you’re a kid, you don’t even like.. understand how it’s hitting you, ya know? It just hits you… and you can’t explain it.

I wish I could feel that feelin again.. but it’s strange when you’re a musician and an adult.. and you analyze every little thing and pinpoint the exact reason why certain things give you ‘feeling’.

But when you’re a kid, you’re just chillin with your CD player in your parent’s backseat along for the flippin’ ride… letting these songs and albums just take you on this wild freakin journey that you don’t understand but you DO like.. subconsciously understand…

Whether or not he’s working at the conveyor belt factory, hiking in the woods, working on a car, taking care of Kibby (our cat) spinning records around, or listening to me rant about something… he’s always fully himself…thoughtful, hilarious, patient, and just the right amount of chaotic (wait no, I’m the chaotic one) Wouldn’t trade him (or his shiny head) for anything.
