👑✨ Throwback to one of my Crown Backdrop Designs! ✨👑

I get SO many questions about how I added the crown to this design, so here are a few tips! 👇🏽

Because the crown is heavy, it needs to be supported by both a top bar AND a bottom bar. You’ll also need the proper brackets to securely attach everything.

💡 PRO TIP: I recommend investing in the more expensive crown option. It comes with a bar that allows you to attach your draping fabric, which makes creating this design much easier!

✨ Pinching Technique Tutorial! ✨

A lot of you requested to see how I create the pinching technique, so here it is! 🙌🏽

With stretchy fabric and your choice of pipe cleaners, zip ties, or rubber bands to secure the fabric, you can achieve this beautiful look!

The key is in how you gather and secure the fabric to create those defined pinches. Once you get the hang of it, you can use this technique to add texture and dimension to your draping designs.

Are you ready to try the pinching technique? 👀✨

In this video, I’m breaking down the difference between two-way stretch and four-way stretch fabric! ✨

Two-way stretch fabric stretches in two directions, while four-way stretch fabric stretches in four different directions.

I use them interchangeably in my designs because, when it comes to my draping, they both produce the same look! 🙌🏾

✨ Take your Baroque draping from basic to brilliant! ✨

Think of your backdrop as a blank canvas and fill it with pleating, pinching, folds, and color. Create visual interest from top to bottom and left to right so every part of your design feels intentional and eye-catching.

Don’t just drape—create a masterpiece! 👑✨

✨ Draping Tip Tuesday! ✨

Want to make your backdrop more visually impactful? Try expanding your fabric instead of creating a tight, compact swag!

In this video, I’m showing you how to create looser, fuller swags that spread the fabric out and give your backdrop a more dramatic, luxurious look. 🙌🏽

And don’t be afraid to combine your swags! Layering and connecting them can take your design to the next level and create an even more impressive backdrop. ✨

Sometimes, it’s all about giving your fabric room to make a statement! 👑

✨ Throwback Video ✨

In this video, I’m answering some of your questions about a Baroque draping design I created! I’m talking all about velvet fabric, the width of the drapes, choosing the proper length, and designing the bottom of the drapes.

If you’re interested in creating a beautiful Baroque design, these are some important details that can make a big difference in the overall look! ✨

✨ Trying Another Baroque Draping Technique! ✨

In this video, I’m trying out another Baroque technique that I call the Wrap-Around Technique! This is when the swags wrap around the uprights, creating a completely different look.

For this design, I took two crescent-shaped swags and transformed them into jumbo-sized swags by wrapping them around the uprights. At the bottom, I added a pinching technique to the drapes.

By combining these techniques, I was able to create so much movement and dimension throughout the design! I love how one technique can completely change the overall look of your draping. ✨

Would you try the Wrap-Around Technique?

🐻 I had a beary, beary memorable family reunion this past weekend! 🐻❤️

Let’s start with the bears! We held our family reunion in Gatlinburg, TN, and there were bears making appearances all around us! 😂🐻 They definitely added an unexpected element to our weekend!

Now, onto the décor! ✨ This was my first time designing a rustic-themed event, and I loved bringing the vision to life with wooden slabs, natural elements, and a warm color palette of burnt orange and hunter green.

Despite the bears continuing to make appearances, I truly enjoyed spending time with family, making memories, and creating the décor for our reunion. 🐻🌿🧡

Definitely a reunion I won’t forget! ❤️

Draping Tip Tuesday

When creating a Baroque-style draping design, you may find that pipe cleaners don’t always hold your drapes securely—especially with heavier fabrics or multiple layers.

Instead, use zip ties to attach your drapes to the uprights. Zip ties provide a much stronger hold, keeping your fabric securely in place so it won’t shift while you’re designing or during the event.

A small change like this can make a big difference in creating a polished, worry-free setup.

💬 Have you ever used zip ties in your draping designs?
