Out in the garden picking a few flowers and ripping up the old greens to move em out, our Zinnias have done great this year, we still have a few growing and waiting to bloom. Trying to decide on the little fall garden we want to toss out to give a go.

This one takes the cake she's over 5 ft tall. I know because thats how tall I am 🤣🤣. There's 5-6 shoots off her main stalk. We're just letting her grow until she stops lol. I've taken 6 or so flowers from this plants alone already this season.

Tomorrow Aster goes to get her staples out, hoping she gets the green light on removing that donut lol. She's about to go bonkers.

Chicken coop is almost finished. We're at the very end of it, little details to touch up then on to the next step. Hope you've all had a great weekend.

Well with all the crazy in the world today... Atleast our ducks were in a row last night 🤣🤣.

Aster pup says "Get this thing off of me, moom". She is ready for her donut to come off lol, not going to lie we all are. While she does get to use it as a comfy pillow when she lays down, the aggravation alone it causes her I can say we're all ready lol. The 31st we go to get her staples out. She has been coming back to her silly tag along self, played with her toy last night more than she has been so that's a great sign.

Our natural pest control has been hard at work lately. I've always been kinda fascinated with bugs, but at a good distance for most because eww lol, and they probably fairly think the same about us humans 🤣🤣. I know I would if I was a critter and one of us walked up. 😅.

We do our best to not use any chemicals around the house for bug removal, between the chickens and the cats and dogs not to mention the garden it has it's moments of aggravation, but sometimes it is necessary. Even in the moments it is, we still do our best to find things that only target the bugs we want to remove, not every bug in sight.

They aren't always the cutest or prettiest, but they are just doing their own thing trying to survive as well, and sometimes we have to give them the space for that.

Homemade yummy biscuits I baked up yesterday. They are perfect for a breakfast sandwich or biscuits and gravy. Those will be on the menu this week for sure.

Happy Weekend everyone!!

Sorry we've been a bit preoccupied this week, and not really posting. Aster pup went Tuesday to get spayed, we had a little bumpy road during so we've been giving her all the extra attention. She's fine now and healing, slowly coming back to the wiggle butt pup we know best. Doc bumped her pain meds up so she can now comfortably move around and rest easier.

We go the 31st for her staples to come out and then a little more slow down time before we hit the fall adventures. I can't wait to be able to take her places now, it was always a worry someone else wouldn't have control of their dog and she would get pregnant... No worries about that anymore 😅😅.

Peep our beautiful zinnias. They are popping up so well.

Sometimes all you need is a good pupper and some fluffy chickens. ☺️

Aster is probably the best dog I have seen around chickens in a yard lol, Mooser too, he likes running through them and making them freak out but he never chases them, almost looks like he smiles after, like a mischievous little boy. Aster is nosey, (in ever way of the word, literally and figuratively)
she's always trying to herd them, but never bothers them. She loves the babies, and she is curious about the older ones. The fact that she can lay down and stay occupied with something else while they are just a few feet away says so much to me.

We found this cute little frog the other night.
My sweetie got me, He went to go move the tarp (which isn't heavy by no means 😅), came back in and was asking for help to move it, just to show me this cute little fella 😍🥰🥰. His pattern on his back matches his little foot almost perfectly.

Our little strawberries are making way. They hadn't been producing much, and then suddenly they've started popping up. Hopefully we can winter them and bring them back next year. We've not tried that yet. 🤞🤞

Can we just have a little Cochin laugh for a moment? No pun intended😅.

Our little Standard Cochin cockerel is a bit bigger than Mr Specs there (Bantam Cochin). 🤣🤣.

I have always loved a good hefty chicken. I have always loved the feathered feet, not so much when I was younger but as an adult I can't get enough. (Ask me come rainy fall and winter lol it might be different🤣 seasonal love). But I never imagined I would get and own both at the same time and here we are making it happen. 🥰🥰

Also peep the Lavender Bantam Cochin quad. Our first batch that started it lol. I figured we would have gotten these and not added more. But a few flutters of eyelashes and a cute smile I guess won my honey over lol. Not to mention Mr Specs's little crow.

Language alert for all our respectable followers!! It's in the pic. It's to early to edit. Apologies.

Gooood mooorning, we're already off to a giggle and a wow of people. This isn't to spread drama but to just give highlights as to why I'd rather deal with animals over most people any day of the week.

Do grown women not see how this is so like 🤮🤮🤮?? I mean after looking at this person's profile I can now see she clearly needs the attention. Seeks the attention is so many sad ways. A pick me if you will and then conplains lol. I sincerely hope she doesn't raise her babies to talk to strangers that way. I would be humiliated if I was her honestly but again so many things aren't the same these days.. Then again, I have more respect for people than what they truly deserve at times. Thankful for my grandparents on that lol.

If you ever wonder what has happened to society, here's a perfect example. All just from a comment of telling someone else their nasty language wasn't needed to speak up about what they wanted, just to get a point across or to be heard.

But this "young" lady wanted to try and prove what exactly? To hurt feelings lol. I literally cackled because never in a million years would I stoop so low to insult a complete stranger for speaking up to something they didn't like, unless of course they casted the first stone. Then I will toss out a few Do you feel better? The expressions you get when they realize you are unbothered lol. Like honey, love... I've been called way worse things, you're comment just makes me laugh at how silly you look. Let alone name calling. Bullying at its finest always starts at home with an adult. Proof even adults bully other adults in ways lol. Just sad.

Fragile?? No...?. Self-respected yes, I know I don't need cussed at like a dog for people to talk to me. Visa versa, when you're this immature it shows. So let's say a little "Hope you have the day you deserve" side note for miss whats her face. Because she clearly woke up struggling and needed to project that somewhere else. Cussing at people isn't powerful. Putting people down isn't powerful. It just highlights that you're the weakest link and you have to use words to tear others down because you aren't secure in your own self.
