Chicago International Indie Film Festival Romeo Kattookaran and team are the founders of this festival. The screenings will commence from 29th October 2022. Founders: Allen George, Romeo Kattookaran.

The Chicago International Indie Film Festival wishes to focus the spotlight on the heritage of Indigenous peoples as well as on swing jazz whose birthplace is Chicago. After the successful first edition of the Chicago International Indie Film Festival (CIIFF) last year which focused on the heritage of the indigenous people and the genesis of swing and jazz music, we continue our sincere endeavor

to encourage independent filmmakers. We are excited to announce the second edition of the Chicago International Indie Film Festival (CIIFF) on Memorial Day this year—the 31st of May 2022. Romeo Kattookaran is an award-winning filmmaker who uses this artform to fulfill its greater purpose. ‘Mary’, shot in the early days of the pandemic, displays the heroics of scared-courageous nurses. ‘A Wonderful Day’ shook up the food-waste system of the restaurants of Michigan and led to the start of an anti-starvation crusade. Allen George is Filmmaker, Cinematography, and worked with various International Film festivals. He has close to a decade of experience as a photojournalist /cameraperson for a variety of TV channels.
