For Bookings contact [email protected] For Adam Stark, “trance family” is much bigger than a buzzword.

He’s emerged as the genre’s poster boy in the Denver nightlife scene and made a name for himself elsewhere along the way. Whether behind the decks or curating an event, Stark’s ability to unite trance enthusiasts has made an undeniable impact. If you've seen him perform then you know it's justified. He’s remarked that there’s no greater measure of success than how able one is to help others succee

d, but his DJ skills give him all the credentials he needs. Born in Fort Collins, Colorado and raised throughout the Denver area, Adam Stark was an orphan raised by an adoptive family. Childhood alienation led him to explore the digital world, and he discovered artists like Paul van Dyk and ATB when electronic music was still obscure in the United States. Stark taught himself to DJ in middle school, grinding the needle of his belt-driven Stanton turntables to dust while practicing transitions over and over. In high school he paid his dues the old-fashioned way by spinning at weddings and private events with a small local production company. In the years to follow, he embedded himself so deeply in Colorado nightlife that his name has appeared on innumerable local lineups. In addition to one-off performances at such mainstays as The Church Nightclub, Bar Standard and Red Rocks Amphitheater, he’s held down residencies at Club Vinyl and The Aggie. In 2014, he also launched his own production company, Stark Contrast, billing the likes of Noel Sanger, Adam K and Lea Luna for events in theLOUNGE at Denver’s most prominent nightlife destination, Beta Nightclub. The following year, Stark began performing on Beta’s main floor - often as direct support for major international headliners. At present, that list of artists includes the likes of Paul Oakenfold, Markus Schulz, Dash Berlin, BT and Gabriel & Dresden. He also opened up for Paul van Dyk when the German trance icon topped the bill for Colorado’s first-ever Dreamstate event in 2017. The same year, Adam Stark began to leverage his influence in the electronic music world to reinforce the presence of trance in Denver. In July, Global Dance tapped him to book artists for the Denver Trance Family stage at their flagship event, Global Dance Festival. It was such a success that they enlisted him to curate the Explorer Stage at Skylab 2017 two months later. He also partnered with the label Elliptical Sun Recordings to organize the inaugural Elliptical Sun Sessions Live in theLOUNGE at Beta Nightclub. A DJ’s DJ who holds true turntablism in high regard, his showmanship sends ripples through the wall-to-wall crowds at his performances. No matter the event, he sees every single set as an opportunity to connect with his audience emotionally. Adam Stark plays music for the person in the crowd who absolutely needs it, because he knows firsthand how much of an impact that it can have. Every city’s trance scene ought to have an Adam Stark - and even as he becomes a bigger player on the global stage, his love for Denver will remain. If your finger’s on the pulse, chances are you’ll see him perform in a city near you in the years to come.

What an insane and wild start to this past weekend. Having the honor of being the first act to grace the new stage of the Junkyard, as well as the opening act of their 2026 season for was a bucket list moment for sure

I'm still recovering but here's a few choices shots, full recap coming later this week!

Let's talk about set planning! Aside from harmonic mixing, and of course proper flow of energy, there is a real art to being a good DJ!

Fortunately for me I've got a show in Calgary at to test out all my new music and make sure everything is sounding good for the Armin set.

With some help from my good friend and mentor , and some time to critique my set on the short flight home, I'm just about ready!

Be sure to catch the last episode of this series later this week when we do the final fit check!

It's all about content! Not really but honestly something I've always struggled with is authentically capturing my DJ sets.

People don't realize that big successful artists have huge teams of people keeping everything running while they focus on playing the music.

That's why I've made it a point for this show to work with some of the best content professionals Denver had to offer.

Huge shout-out to and for helping me plan out such a huge show!!!

Did you know this was possible?

If you don't know me by now, let me introduce myself. I'm Colorado native and Denver Trance Family figured head Adam Stark

I've been DJing for over 20 years, and over the last decade I've been slowly building a name for myself in the international music scene.

With original tracks on about a dozen trance and progressive imprints, and more shows under my belt then I can even remember, I'm the guy playing music you didn't know you wanted to hear.

It's been a wild few years of touring North America for me, and now I'm coming home for the biggest show of my career to date. Huge thanks to all the friends and fans, both in Denver and around the world that have been supporting me through this wild journey!

Lots of words and feelings right now but I had to get something out to thank everyone for the avalanche of support and congratulations from all over the world today.

If you're new here give me a follow because there's going to be a lot of content over the next month about me preparing for this show.

But for now I want to thank , , and for having me on this show.

I can definitely say I was expecting a lot out of my first time at The Sphere, especially with Illenium debuting his Odyssey show. One of the biggest artists on the planet at one of the most unique venues on the planet was guaranteed to be an incredible show.

What I wasn't prepared for was a nearly two hour emotional journey across his entire catalog and spanning nearly every genre.

Obviously being from Denver Illenium is a hometown hero, and I've had the pleasure of calling him a friend over the years, but to see a friend reach those heights with a nearly sold out crowd and present not only the musical journey, but such incredible visual story telling was something I'll hold as a core memory.

I'm so glad I took the time out of my busy schedule to reconnect with a group of friends that's been on a different path. What an unforgettable night. If you were in attendance this weekend let me know how you felt about the shows!

Let me introduce you to one of my best friends in the music industry . Some of you may know I've been sporadically on the road with him since 2022.

It's crazy to think that one conversation in a green room more than 4 years ago has taken me all over the world with him. But that's how the world works these days, you've really gotta go out and talk to people.

I've personally known Ilan since around 2015 from playing with him in my hometown of Denver. But after 4 years of flights, club nights, festivals, studio hangs, and all the non dairy food I could ever eat, Ilan has become one of my closest friends.

Ilan is consistently pushing me to be a better musician, song writer, producer, DJ, and person. We're approaching almost 100 shows over the last 4 years. Whether thas as a support DJ, green room security guard, snack runner, or flight buddy, I'm always learning and pushing myself forward in his crazy industry.

I couldn't ask for a better friend and mentor in the global music scene. It's been wild to watch the king of TRONCE have such an impact in my life, but that's the power of good friends and good music.

If you e got someone like this in your life tag them below and let's talk about what makes them so important to you!

Imagine this, you've gotten back to your hotel room after the festival, you watched Tiesto close out the main stage of Beyond Wonderland, you're riding high and can't believe you've got a whole separate day of the festival ahead of you.

It's 5am and you're just falling asleep, and then BANG. Screaming starts coming from the room next door and you can hear a group of people frantically running around the room. Then the fire alarm goes off and wakes up everyone in the hotel.

You open your door to see the kids in the room next to you throwing all their things out of their room, and when you look inside it's an actual waterfall coming from the fire sprinkler. A river of water is pouring into the hallway and at that moment you realize you've gotta pack up your s**t and GO.

You go down to the lobby where exhausted ravers are huddled around trying to figure out what's happened, and you're just sitting there waiting for hotel staff to come down and explain to everyone what you just saw.

The fire department shows up, and has to take over 4 different rooms to start removing the standing water from the hallways and surrounding rooms.

Luckily because you thought ahead, you got all your s**t out before hand, and now you're the only one downstairs ready to be moved into a new room. The attendant tells you after an hour of sitting in the lobby they have one room left, and because you have your s**t ready you're gonna get it.

They tell you not to say anything to anybody, and you take your new keys and go to your room realizing that you've gotta sneak into your new room before a mob of drenched ravers disembowels you for you room keys.

You wake up the next morning and pop your head into your old room to see the video above, as you checkout and head to the artist hotel to meetup with the rest of the crew for day 2. What an insane first day of the festival.....

As an up and coming trance artist it was amazing to have an opportunity to watch Tiesto close out BeyondWonderland 2026 from the stage.

I never got to experience the golden era of trance when Tiesto first exploded into the scene, which makes experiencing it with the existing trance fan that much more special.
