WHAT THE F*%$ THIS IS:

Stupid F*&$ing Bird is an "adaptation" of Chekhov's The Seagull. Fueled with yearning, angst, and meta-theatrical fits of passion, the show follows the story of a small family of successful artists, all dying for something that they don't have, the one thing that might finally fix them. Can they get the acclaim, the chance, or the love that they would die for?

Running Friday, Saturday, and Sunday July 17th - August 1st

Show Premise
Stupid Fu***ng Bird is a reimagined version of Chekhov’s The Seagull, exploring who we love, how we love, and at what cost. As a family struggles to stay together and stay alive, will they be able to navigate the tensions of unrequited love and sacrifice and come out happy on the other side?

🎭 Meet Noah! 🎭

Noah is playing Otto in Spring Awakening which begins its one weekend run tomorrow!!! Check out how he responded to our questions!

Q: How long have you been a performer?
A: I have been playing music since I was about 13, that was the year I started my first band. We played my childhood porch first, and parlayed that into a real venue later that Summer. I felt a lot of runway back then.

Q: What is your favorite role you’ve played?
A: You know, I never did a lot of theater - but back in 5th grade I was Shere Khan in the jungle book and I remember really enjoying all of that yelling.

Q: Why is Spring Awakening important to you?
A: What’s interesting about Spring Awakening is that while it paints the idea of promiscuity within a distant era, almost making it seem like a timeline we’ve progressed beyond, but in watching the show, it quite chit becomes clear how many taboo subjects we still grapple with today. Melchior would perhaps be proud of the steps taken, but by no means are we a society unburdened by our own repressed natures or moments of aggression. As someone who came into the show pretty blind, it does make you think about your own role in the process of unlearning.

Q: What are you looking forward to the most about Spring Awakening?
A: I am looking forward to helping bring the visions of this creative team to life. I don’t see myself as much more than a vessel for those who make the wheels go round - whether that’s the original writers, the staff, or my cast mates. What’s cool about a musical is that it takes a village.

🎟️ Come see Noah and the rest of this incredible cast bring Spring Awakening to life August 7–10! Don’t miss it!

🎭 Meet Michael!
Micheal will be playing Georg. We asked him a few questions to get to know him better. Check out what he had to say!

Q: How long have you been a performer?
A: I’ve been performing for 8 years now! I started with Beauty and the Beast during my freshman year of high school! I’ve since performed at Town Hall Arts Center, Miner’s Ally Playhouse, The Arts Hub, Vintage Theater, main stages at 2 colleges here in Colorado and now I’ve been performing in the south loop of Chicago!

Q: What is your favorite role you’ve played?
A: Definitely Dennis in All Shook Up. I felt so connected to the character and to the cast and had nothing but an amazing time with that production. It’s also where I met Nick, our Moritz in this show!

Q: Why is Spring Awakening important to you?
A: I think it’s a story that needs to continue being told. The content of the show can be intense for audiences but the lessons told by its story are still relevant today.

Q: What are you looking forward to the most about Spring Awakening?
A: Singing this beautiful score with an amazing group of people!

Come see Michael and the rest of our cast in Spring Awakening this Thursday-Sunday! 🎟️✨
