Most people know my work for its vibrant palettes, but the real, unfiltered soul of my journey lives in the dark.
I’m usually the one maintaining a happy, optimistic exterior. I’ve always wanted to bring joy to the world and make sure the people around me never feel sad. But the truth is, I’ve carried hidden depression for the greater part of my life. Deep in my heart and soul, I’ve always been a goth girlie. I’ve loved rock music, dark aesthetics, and eerie art since I was a pr***en, but it’s a side of myself I rarely share.
My black-and-white pieces are where I finally let that hidden side step out of the shadows and onto the canvas.
The painting on the right was my very first dark art piece, and it means the absolute world to me. Back then, I was still testing the waters.
As I completed over 100 fingerpaintings, I learned to quiet the perfectionism by reminding myself that my style is mine alone, and no one else can do it this way. This is the weird, dark, beautiful art I need to see in the world. Thank you for being here, and for letting me share the truest pieces of who I am.
