CUPS 101 with YASHU REDDY, July 27-31 at Glass Art Kalamazoo. This 5-day course will focus on the fundamentals of Venetian-style goblet making with the primary goal of helping students make work more efficiently by using the heat, gravity and innate physicality of glass to execute a wide variety of forms and designs. We will cover these techniques in a way that is simple and straightforward, so that it may be practiced and repeated easily. Class fee includes all materials, tools, and studio time.

We are honored to host an extraordinary international collaboration at our hotshop in Antalya. On May 15th, we welcome the globally celebrated - Aytac Davids Collective for an exclusive afternoon of creative talks and live production.

Ekin Deniz Aytac and Joshua Davids have redefined contemporary glass. With backgrounds spanning specialized studies in the Czech Republic and MFA degrees in the USA, to managing prestigious institutions like Glass Art Kalamazoo, their mastery is recognized worldwide. Today, their evocative, multi-layered objects are exhibited in internationally renowned galleries and museums.

Join us to witness a live collaborative production session where the Lonca team and Aytac Davids Collective join forces at the furnace. It’s a rare opportunity to engage in high-level production talks with true masters of the craft.
