What happens when some of the world’s most creative magicians gather on a Greek island for a week?

You get conversations that challenge your thinking.

You get lectures that make you rethink what’s possible.

You get late-night sessions, new friendships, unexpected ideas, and moments that remind you why you fell in love with magic in the first place.

This past week, I had the privilege of attending The Retreat in Crete—an unforgettable experience brought to life by Joshua Jay, Andi Gladwin, George Luck, Craig Mitchell, and the incredible Vanishing Inc. team.

Throughout the week, we learned from an extraordinary lineup of performers, thinkers, and creators including Ondrej Psenicka, Perseus Arkomanis, Richard Wiseman, Phedon Bilek, Guy Hollingworth, Joshua Jay, Andi Gladwin, and many others who generously shared not only their knowledge, but also their passion for the art of magic.

The lectures were exceptional.

The magic was world-class.

The adventures were unforgettable.

But what continues to make this experience so special year after year is the people.

Somewhere along the way, this stopped feeling like a retreat and started feeling like family.

A group of people from around the world who come together to learn, create, explore, encourage one another, and celebrate this strange and wonderful art that has brought us all together.

From mountainside adventures and poolside magic sessions to unforgettable meals and conversations that stretched long into the night, I was reminded once again that some of the most meaningful moments in life happen when we’re fully present with the people around us.

I’m am now home with fresh ideas, renewed inspiration, and a heart full of gratitude for this community.

Thank you to everyone who made this week so memorable. I can’t wait until we all meet again.

Life has a funny way of teaching us about balance.

We spend so much time trying to perfectly hold everything together—work, dreams, responsibilities, family, expectations… constantly shifting pieces that don’t always seem like they should fit.

But maybe balance isn’t about holding everything still.

Maybe it’s about learning what truly matters and being fully present for it.

This little impossible moment with Nova was created using nothing more than a few everyday objects from his room.

Sometimes the most meaningful magic isn’t found on a stage.

It’s found in the moments we create together… when we stop trying to hold onto life and simply live it.

Stepping back in.

The last couple months have tested me in ways I didn’t expect… but they also reminded me of something I talk about all the time—

Presence isn’t automatic. It’s a choice.

Grateful for the people in my corner.
Grateful for the lessons.
And more focused than ever on what actually matters.

This next chapter is different.
