Went out to St. Vrain State Park this afternoon hoping to catch Ospreys fishing after the rain stopped. Saw quite a few buzzing about but not fishing. Managed to see this one in a tree as I was leaving, which was way better than when they are on man made towers.

It was a good sunrise to start the day. Had to position myself to where I wasn't getting the band of wildfire smoke from Nebraska. Then, this afternoon, I came across a bird species I haven't seen before. This is a Chukar, which is a species of the partridge family that is native to Eurasian countries and introduced to North America.

A beautiful sunrise this morning followed by a fun Bald Eagle encounter this afternoon. Makes for a good day.
