We were flattered to get this testimonial from Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Va. We had a wonderful time presenting there with the infamous DR. TOMMIE SMITH (official). Please take a minute to read and share this, THANK YOU! --> "Messrs. Kilby and Wiggins put on a performance that was spellbinding for both students and faculty alike. First off, the rich musicality of the performance was itself ample sustenance for a school-wide endeavor; even the most casual fan of music would have a hard time resisting the pull of soulful blues that these musicians create. Importantly, that soulfulness is born of authenticity--there is a real message here, not just of the pain that gave rise to the blues as an art form, but of healing as well. One of the biggest challenges for all of us as we engage the work of healing racial wounds and of bridging the resultant cultural divides is to enter into that work with a feeling of safety even as we know we will encounter discomfort. By blending important realities about our intrinsic oneness with the lessons gleaned from hurtful division, 'Racism, Reconciliation, and the Blues' helped our community as we work our way along the path of understanding, empathy, and healing." -Louis Smith, Diversity Director, Episcopal High School, Alexandria VA
