🚢 DAY 3, June 3rd, Castaway Cay, Part 2- PIRATE NIGHT! ☠
After getting drenched from the rain leaving Castaway to get back on the Wish, we decided to head to the Rainforest Room for some drier relaxation. These heated loungers are the absolute best thing in the Rainforest Room...hands down. The were the perfect temperature, and we basically fell asleep everytime we laid down in one. If I could smuggle one home in my luggage, I would have! 😆
We got cleaned up and changed into our pirate gear and headed out for a little nosh and beverage at Keg and Compass. This pretzel was only $10 and was twice the size of my head!! 🥨
🥃 We enjoyed the themeing change of the Grand Hall chandelier and seeing all the other guests dressed up in their pirate attire. It really is such a fun themed night, everyone gets into it! Being pirate night, we headed to Hook's Barbery, the Captain Hook themed barbershop on board, but it's also a bourbon speakeasy! We got their special smoked old fashioned that came with a dried orange, freshly roasted marshmallow and BACON! It was delightful and a great way to celebrate pirate night.
🍽 Our dinner was back at Worlds of Marvel tonight and when I say you can order as much food as you want...I mean it. My hubby got 3 entrees this night because they all looked so good! 😂 The chocolate salted caramel dessert was the best dessert I think I have ever had on a Disney ship, it was absolutely amazing!
☠ It was time to head up to Deck 11 for the Pirate's Rockin Parlay Party and meet up with Katie, a fellow agent with Discovering The Magic Travel who was also on the sailing! She got an amazing spot for the show and the best part of Pirate Night, Fireworks at Sea!! 🎆
It was a fantastic day, and we still had one more day to go, a full day at sea!!

🚢 DAY 3, June 3rd, Castaway Cay, Part 1 🏖
🌴This is our third time to Castaway Cay (Disney's Private Island) and we were so excited! Most times, choosing a room port or starboard doesn't really matter, except on Castaway Cay days and Pirate Night...very glad we had a starboard side room to get these amazing views right when we woke up.
☕ After a quick breakfast at the Marceline Market buffet, we stopped by Cove Cafe in the adults only section for this delicous (and so adorable) Coconut Caramel latte.
😎 We walked off the ship and decided to walk down the island for some great views of the ship as well as really short lines for meeting characters! I seriously waited less than 2 minutes each for Minnie and Pluto in their tropical beach fits!
🚊 There are so many great family areas on Castaway, but we knew we wanted to head to Serenity Bay, the adults only beach area. We caught the tram and were suprised how many people were already on the beach!
🍹 Tropical beach days deserve delicous beverages, so we orderd Conch Coolers from the bar and got set up on the beach for a day of sand, water and sun...well the sun part didn't come immediately.
⛈ Almost immediately after we got set up and decided it was a good time to swim, the lifeguards called everyone in and closed the beach due to storms moving in :( We gathered our stuff and headed to the Serenity Bay Barbeque area and waited out the storm, then finally got lunch at the buffet when it opened up. I love that the food for lunch on the island is included in your cruise fare!
☀ After lunch, the storms cleared and we headed back to the beach. A lot of other guests had decided to head back to the ship, so it was a lot emptier than before. We enjoyed swimming in the beautiful clear water, but saw another storm rolling in. We decided to cut our losses and headed back to the ship, but didn't quite miss the storm and ended up getting drenched in the downpour 🌧 Oh well..
Up next..more relaxation and Pirate Night!! ☠☠

🚢DAY 2- June 2nd, Nassau Bahamas, Part 3- Back at Sea
After a very full day of staying on the ship, we headed to our second restuarant of rotational dining, Worlds of Marvel, which is both dinner and an interactive show!
Our last time sailing the Disney Wish, we missed this restaruant for a Palo Dinner, so we were excited to experience it for the first time!
Ant Man and The Wasp have a fun demonstration with the quantum cores, where, of course, they need our help saving the world (or at least the ship!). It was a lot of fun and the food was pretty good as well!
🎩Our adorable head server made us napkin party hats for our anniversary 😂
We headed to bed immediatly after dinner so we could rest up for the next day at Castaway Cay and Pirate Night!

🚢 DAY 2-June 2nd, Nassau Bahamas, Part 2, Relaxation and Winning🏆
Since we were utterly stuffed from the exquisitly delicious Palo Brunch, we decided we needed to move. 🏃‍♀️One down side to the Wish Class ships is the lack of a walking deck that goes all the way around the ship, so instead we headed to Senses Fitness and walked the treadmill. Even though we only burned off .000001% of the calories consumed, we felt less full, and it felt good to move.
🍃 This cruise we bought access to the Rainforest Room for the duration of the sailing. The Rainforest Room is part of the spa and adults only where you have these amazing papasaun loungers, whirlpool hottubs, sauna, steam room, ice room as well as theraputic showers. We enjoyed the quiet and most definitely took naps on the loungers.
🍺 After enjoying some relaxation, we cleaned up and I got to go meet the sassiest duck at sea, Miss Daisy Duck! My hubby went on to the Keg and Compass where he used his DCL beer mug card to get a large size beer for the same price as a small *TA TIP, wanna know how you can do that too? Reach out and I'll share the info!*
🥇The Keg and Compass also hosted some of the adults only trivia. We stayed and enjoyed playing General Trivia and WON! We then went to 90's music trivia and won that too!! It was a good day!
🇧🇸 We were finally hungry enough for a snack at Donald's Cantina on the pool deck and then watched the ship sail away from Nassau.
Even though we didn't get off the ship, we still had a very full day! We got cleaned up and ready for our dinner that night....but more on that in the next post!

🚢 DAY 2- June 2nd, Nassau Bahamas, Part 1, PALO BRUNCH 🤤🤤
Spoiler Alert...we didn't get off the boat today, and neither did about 65% of the passengers 🫣 I think Nassau is a fun port, but this trip was more about the adults only experiences on the ship, and to do all that in 4 days....we had to stay on the ship!
☕ We started our day watching the ship pull in to port with room service coffee on our verandah. Room service is included in the price of your cruise (gratuity is extra). It was the perfect way to start our day...before we headed off to our next culinary adventure.
🍽 We headed up to Deck 12 Aft to an adults only section that houses The Rose Lounge, Enchante and Palo Steakhouse. All of these locations are beautifully themed to Beauty and the Beast and are classy/fancy spaces that do require an additional dress code. 🤵 We also had a view of the brand new Royal Caribbean Beach Club Paradise Island, which was so fun to see since the Utopia of the Seas was in Nassau that day as well!
💈Palo Brunch is one of the best experiences on Disney Cruise Line. For $55 a person, you can order as much food as you would like, as well as a complimentary mimosa or glass of presecco. *TA TIP- The table next to us was so worried about ordering too much and over eating to the point that their server didn't know how to help them. You can see my reaction in the picture😳...DO NOT GO TO PALO BRUNCH UNLESS YOU PLAN ON STUFFING YOUR FACES!! It is such a delicous meal with so many fantastic bites to try, please go get your moneys worth! END OF TA TIP*
🍕 This is our third time enjoying Palo Brunch, so we knew all the things to order, inlcuding both antipasti, both soups, the chicken parmesean and the lasgana, and of course, desserts.
😍 Our wonderful server brought us a lovely decorated plate to help us celebrate our anniversary, so incredibly thoughtful.
What did we do after consuming 2394797 calories before 11 am? Stay tuned to find out! 😂

🚢 DAY 1- June 1st, Embarkation Day, Part 3, Show, Dinner, Drinks!
A three part post to just one (pretty much a half) day on the ship? YES, because embarkation day is not just a transition day on vacation, it is diving into the deep end of the magic! ✨
🎭Disney Cruise Line has some amazing evening shows preformed opposite of your assigned dining time. If you have 5:45 dining, you will see the 8 p.m. show, if you have 8:15 dining, you will see the 6:30 show...which we did!! Seas the Adventure is a show filled with the Disney characters and music you love and a great way to start your cruise. I didn't get any pictures because, quite honestly, I just wanted to enjoy the show :)
🍽 After the show it was time for dinnner! There are 3 main restaurants on board, 1923, Worlds of Marvel and Arendelle. Each night you will rotate restaurants, and sometimes have repeats, but your serving team travels with you each night. They get to know you all, your preferences and offer menu recommendations.
We headed to 1923 and had a delicious meal, which of course, is not complete with out dessert.
🌌 After dinner, we headed to the Hyperspace Lounge, a Star Wars themed bar where it actually feels like you are traveling through the galaxy. Through the "windows" you can see familiar planets like Mustafar, Tattoine and the moon of Endor...and I definitely spied the Razor Crest sailing by us at one point. While the cocktails were delightful, the highlight was the apperance of the BDX droid who greated all the guests. 🤖

Day 1 was officially done and we were off to sleep. I love the beds on Disney Cruise Line ships, they are so comfortable!
Day 2 recap coming up soon, stay tuned! 😍

🚢 DAY 1- June 1st, Embarkation, Part 2, leaving Port Canaveral!
After unpacking and settling in to our stateroom, we headed to the mandatory muster safetly drill. *TA TIP* Grab your beverage of choice BEFORE heading to the muster drill, you will be happier and everyone around you will be totally jealous 🍹
🔝 As soon as the muster drill was over we BOOKED it and sprinted up the stairs to Deck 12 for the Sail Away Party. While it technically happens on Deck 11, the views and option for a little shade are much better on Deck 12. My husband grabbed us the yummy drink of the day while we watched all the amazing entertainment castmembers and all the characters you know and love coutdown to when vacation *officially* begins.
🐭 When Mickey and Minne came out, all the excited kids screamed and cheered and I turned into an absolute puddle 😭 Even though we were just adults, knowing so many families were making magical memories together just had me overcome with emotions. 🥲
🍗 We were assigned the second dining time (8:15 p.m), so we had to grab a little snack to tide us over, and of course that snack had to be the DCL world famous chicken tenders!
👗 Before heading to our rotational dining restaurant so we got ourselves cleaned up and were able to catch the most beautiful sunset at sea. 🌅

🍽More about DCL rotational dining and the end to day 1 is coming, so stay tuned!

Welcome to my vacation recap of our four night sailing aboard Disney Cruise Line on the Disney Wish! Over the next few days, I will go through some highlights of all the things we did on the ship, at the port(s), what we ate, drank and basically how we dominated trivia on board (LOL, kidding...kinda). We left the kids with friends and were able to enjoy some much needed adult time...YES, on board a Disney Cruise...
🚢DAY 1- June 1st, Embarkation, Part 1
We arrived in Port Canaveral via rental car and easily found parking in the assigned garage for the Wish. We were early for our 12:15 port arrival time, but I am glad we were! There were already tons of people in line to be called for security!
Once we cleared security, showed our passports and port arrival forms, we had to wait a bit for our boarding group to be called.
❗*TA NOTE* We saw SOO many people, more likely than not cruising for the first time, so utterly confused and frustrated over the process you must go through before boarding the ship. This is why I love helping people plan cruises because I know the process and procedures so that I can hopefully elimate the frustration and stress for my clients *END TA NOTE*
😎 Finally on board, we waved to Cinderella and Prince Charming and then we headed up to eat lunch at Mickey's Festival of Food on the pool deck and meet up with my friend and roommate from my Disney College Program who now works for Disney Cruise Line! She was only staying on board for a little bit before we sailed away, so it was so nice to catch up with her and give her a big squeeze! 🥰
🐇 After lunch, and of course our first ice cream cone, we headed down to explore our Sleeping Beauty themed state room. I *might* have choosen that particular one because it's my favorite Disney animated movie 😉 DCL recently updated the Castaway Club gifts and I was so thrilled to see this amazing backpack and new laynards waiting for us in our room.
🛅 Our suitcases arrived and we unpacked while enjoying our first cocktail of the cruise. Gotta love a classic G&T!
Stay Tuned for more of Day 1......
