📢 ATTENTION ALL ARTISTS,
VENDORS, WORKSHOPPERS, AND NONSENSE ENTHUSIASTS!

We appreciate everyone's understanding for our decision to reschedule as we monitored the Aspen Acres Wildfire. In a resounding response from our community, we believe we made the right decision. That being said, the Nonsense must go on!

We have set new festival dates for 8/21-8/23. We understand not every artist, vendor, workshopper, or festival goer can make these new dates. A new confirmation and RSVP is required for us to move forward with set times and schedules. Please check your email and check spam for this new confirmation form. IMPORTANT HOT NONSENSE 2026 UPDATE:

After a great deal of deliberation, in consideration of the perspectives of many who have weighed in from our community along with the opinions of local experts, first responders, and wildland firefighters: It is with heavy hearts that we have decided to abort plans to host Hot Nonsense this weekend. HOT NONSENSE HAS BEEN PUSHED BACK TO AUGUST.

While it is possible that conditions may change favorably over the next few days, we also all know how unpredictable the weather in Colorado can be, and how unprecedented the nearby Aspen Acres Fire is. There are over 1500 firefighters working hard to mitigate that fire, and not to mention evacuation efforts, emergency vehicles, strain on county resources, and overall the fact that air quality is not good across the entire state.

We determined that it would be irresponsible and place our community at undue risk to move forward with hosting Hot Nonsense this weekend.

We understand this will be a great inconvenience to those of you who have been planning around this weekend.
Hot Nonsense will resume on the Same, Beautiful, Sexy Land on August 21-23, 2026. Save the date!

We know that some of you who signed up as artists and workshop presenters may not be able to make the new dates. But we also hope the new dates will make HN 2026 a possibility for some of you who were not available this weekend.

We will be sending out emails ASAP to all artists, vendors, workshop presenters, and miscreants, giving you an opportunity to confirm your slot for the new dates or let us know if those dates won't work for you. Organizers will continue meeting over the following weeks and continue prepping for the new dates.

Thanks to everyone for their patience as we figured out our game plan given the unforeseen natural disaster. WE LOVE ALL OF YOU and YOU are what makes HN possible.

We also understand that while The Smog of Pain has blocked our passage this weekend, that is no excuse not to party. And we have a sound system that needs some love...

If you are signed up on our Discord or email list, we'll be announcing a very special Pop-Up event in the Denver area ASAP. It will go late, and we will donate funds raised to Aspen Acres Fire firefighting and emergency response efforts!

🌲 Hot Nonsense 2026 Update: Fire Conditions & Community Check-In 💜

Hello, beautiful Nonsense humans.

We wanted to give everyone a transparent update on where things stand regarding the Aspen Acres Fire.

Our organizing team met last night to review the latest information from official county agencies, fire incident updates, weather forecasts, and emergency advisements. At this time, we are continuing preparations for Hot Nonsense while actively monitoring conditions each day.

Our Current Status: 🟡 YELLOW
This means proceed with caution while continuing aggressive monitoring.

Safety will always come before the event.

Our Safety Criteria
We will cancel or reschedule if, at any time:

Air quality for our area is forecast to be Red (Unhealthy) or worse.
There are any evacuation orders affecting our event location or access routes.
Road closures prevent safe travel.
Fire conditions change such that we believe holding the event would place attendees, local residents, firefighters, wildlife, or surrounding communities at unnecessary risk.

If those criteria are not met, we plan to move forward.

Should we proceed, we'll also have a clear navigation guide and an emergency evacuation plan in place. If conditions were to change unexpectedly during the weekend, everyone should be prepared to leave promptly and calmly if instructed.

Respect for the Community
If we move forward, we ask everyone to travel thoughtfully and respectfully. Our neighbors are living through an active wildfire, and many firefighters continue working tirelessly to protect homes, communities, and the landscape we all love. Please drive carefully, follow all official guidance, and help us be good guests in the valley.

We'll be sending the event location out early so everyone has time to make an informed decision.Please let us know how you're currently feeling:

🟢 Green – I'm planning to attend.
🟡 Yellow – Maybe. I'm waiting to see how conditions develop.
🔴 Red – I don't feel comfortable attending under the current circumstances.

Your responses won't determine the decision on their own, but they'll help us understand how our community is feeling as we continue evaluating the situation.

Thank you all for your patience, flexibility, and care for one another. We know everyone is excited to gather, and we also know that gathering responsibly is far more important than gathering at all costs.

We'll continue sharing official updates as we learn more and will make our final announcement early on Wednesday.

Now that April Fools has passed it's time for a big announcement~

No Foolin'-- Hot Nonsense 2026 is on!

The official festival dates are July 10th-12th in a secret location in the Colorado Rocky Mountains on beautiful private land.
