For the third year running, The Troumatics is bringing their signature sound back to the !

They write and record their own original music right here in North Texas, with tracks already earning regular rotation on local college radio. Their indie-rock edge adds a fresh, diverse layer to a lineup that’s brimming with variety.

As the band puts it, “It’s always special to share our original music, created right here in North Texas, with such a great crowd!”

And for the fans who hang out with them Sunday afternoon, there’s an extra treat in store: the band may debut a brand-new, unreleased song live for the very first time 🤘

Catch them on Sunday, Sept. 13 at 3PM on the River Stage at the North Texas Fairgrounds. A heartfelt thank you to the Dallas-Fort Worth Professional Musicians Association and the Music Performance Trust Fund for helping make performances like this possible.

Someone calling himself "Michael Johnson" has been sliding into local food vendors' inboxes and voicemails, offering to "sell" them a booth at this September's Denton Arts & Jazz Festival.

Spoiler alert: he can't. That's not how any of this works, and we've already gotten several reports.

Here's the deal, and it's the same story every single year:

📝 You apply first. Reach us at DentonJazzFest.com, email [email protected], or call 940-565-0931.

💸 We never ask for money upfront. No paperwork, no application, no payment. Full stop.

🚩 Watch for the red flags. If someone's rushing you, cranking up the urgency, or dangling a deal that sounds way too good to be true, trust your gut. It probably is.

So, if "Michael Johnson" comes knocking with a smile and a booth for sale, do us a favor: be suspicious first, then reach out to us directly. We're happy to confirm what's real and what's not.

Save your appetite for the funnel cakes, not the fraud.

What a night at ! To the incredible community — thank you for showing up, spreading out on the lawn and filling the park with energy and joy.

A heartfelt thank you to our bands (Strong Work!, Copperline and Wade Bagley), who kept the music playing in the crowd moving all evening long. To our vendors (sterlingbbq04, SerenDIPity Ice Cream Bus, Margarita Hut Denton, and El Compadre Taqueria), thank you for keeping us cool, fed and smiling. And to our sponsors (City of Corinth, TX, Huffines Subaru Corinth, and Texas Commission on the Arts), of course, none of this happens without your generous support. We are deeply grateful for your partnership.

We also have to give a little love to the Commons at Agora Park itself. What a beautiful venue to come together as friends and neighbors. Here’s to more events like this in the future!
