Same cave under new management diy space in Denton, TX

In light of the recent news that has surfaced about our former roommate, Samuel Decker, we would like to ensure everyone that he is no longer affiliated with The Cave in any way. We stand in solidarity with those affected by his pattern of abusive behavior without question. In the event that we are able to throw shows again in the future, Sam and those that defend his actions will not be welcome, along with any other known abusers, racists, sexists or overall problematic people in our community.

We want to do everything we can to keep our community safe from those that harm others in any way. Please feel free to reach out if there are any concerns about other people you feel should not be welcome at our shows once the COVID-19 pandemic has come to an end.

It's with a heavy heart that we have to temporarily close our doors to this great community.

At our most recent event on April 19th, somebody decided to come into one of our rooms and steal things that do not belong to them. Very valuable things were stolen, and it seems like we won't be getting most of it back. There is a GoFundMe link to help Cesar recover from this.

***THIS IS NOT A POST TO ACCUSE ANY OF THE DENTON COMMUNITIES.***

We pride ourselves on opening our doors to create a safe space for all the beautiful Denton communities. We know with certainty that this person who burglarized us does not represent these groups. It really hurts us alot to have to close our doors to all the aspirational people who come through and help create these amazing events.

****ANY AND ALL information on the person who burglarized this house can greatly help us and Denton Police Department in locating our stolen things. Please PM us if you know any information.

Lastly, if you still wish to support The Cave please consider supporting our musical projects Doma kid and Genius Christ as we have given a lot of time and resources to local communities through our time here in this city.

Hey y’all, due to recent problems we are implementing some new rules and being more strict about old ones. This is not a party house by any means, it’s a show house and it’s not a place to get trashed. We will be checking I.D.s at all future shows to prevent underage drinking in our home. Tell your friends and please respect our house so we can keep throwing shows. Thank you!
