Happy ! 📻

Growing up, I listened to the radio any chance I could. The DJs I heard inspired me to become a DJ myself.

At just 12 years old, I worked at a local ice cream shop so I could save enough money to buy my first piece of DJ equipment. I remember going to the store with my Mom and Dad to pick it out. They probably thought I was crazy, but they supported me every step of the way.

Back then, there was no YouTube or easy way to learn. I would listen to DJs scratch on the radio, then go into my bedroom and practice for hours, trying to mimic what I heard.

Years later, during college, I had the opportunity to intern at KISS 101.7. What started as an internship turned into an incredible 15-year journey, until the station was eventually sold.

Radio has played such a huge role in my life, both personally and professionally. It gave me inspiration, opportunities, friendships, and memories that I’ll carry with me forever.

I’m forever grateful for the role radio has played in my life and for everyone who helped shape my journey along the way.
