Something to consider - please think about this. It’s your tax dollars.

Our state has a surplus of 1.86 billion dollars. And even our most affluent communities are cutting funding for books, access to activities , funding for instruments, class curriculum offerings, uniforms, teacher jobs, and transportation for our kids. 38 school districts are seeking referendums of 500 million to stay afloat. 1.86 billion in surplus and 4 billion in reserves and we can’t fund schools?!? If the best school systems are suffering what is happening in systems with less community support, less infrastructure? The children don’t deserve this Governor Mike Braun. .

As parents begin to wind down summer (which doesn’t seem possible) with first day of school in 2 weeks, I am thinking about our students and faculty. What are they doing, needing, or preparing for the next school year.
As a candidate for DCSC School Board I would welcome your thoughts & perspective! I welcome your honest and open thoughts about our school, facility, and public education as we begin a new school year.
I hope to hear from parents, teachers, facility, and even students.

Announcement- I have filed my candidacy to run for school board representation for City of Delphi for Delphi Community School Corporation.

I am a wife of a DCSC graduate, a mother of two (recent graduate, and current Sophomore), an adult caregiver for elderly parents, and an advocate for elder and disabled adults.

I have a Bachelor and Master’s degree from Ball State University. 30 + years experience working for non-for-profits in Indiana. I understand grants, grant funding, and the strings that come with that type of funding. And how to organize a program to maximize the best delivery of service.

I welcome the opportunity to serve our students, staff, and corporation in a professional and attentive manner. I welcome and appreciate your support.
