It's that time of year again!

The Horn brothers are both headed back to Amarillo with their teams, Sooner/Hat Creek and Sandstone Cattle, for the youth world championship ranch rodeo in November and both boys are headed to Vegas in December.

Briar has qualified for Mike and Sherrylynn Johnson Vegas Tuffest world championship in the 10U breakaway and 10U Double Mugging and the 12U breakaway and 12U tie down. He has also qualified for the JR NFR 10U breakaway and 12U breakaway.

Branch has qualified for Mike and Sherrylnn Johnson Vegas Tuffest world championship in the 10U breakaway and the JR NFR 10U breakaway.

I could not be more proud of these boys and the work they put in. I will forever do what it takes to help them chase their dreams 💙🖤

Day three and Briar did the ground work all by himself. He also started swinging a rope on him and took him on his first 'outside' ride! Extremely proud of this boy and the work he is doing.

Briar has been chomping at the bit to start this c**t! His dad finally said "let's do it". So Briar has started ground and c**t breaking lessons from the best, his dad! He is learning patience. It is hard on a little guy not to squeeze or pull back and to stay relaxed and let the horse figure it out. It is a lot of give and take but this c**t and Briar will learn it together 🩵 excited to see where this c**t will take him! Two rides down. A couple more rides and Briar will be ready to take him to work.

Briar came home with some new hardware, Branch came home with some round money, and little sister wore herself out keeping times, videoing, and rocking big brothers 5 Star Equine Products hat! Thank you to all of those that sponsor the Horn Brothers.

Luckily we came home to zero damage, however we did have to clear a path for about 1/2 a mile to get home. Happy we were out of town for the huge storm that blew through last night.

Sooner/Hat Creek brought home the win at Ben Johnson Days youth WRCA ranch rodeo! Briars team, Sandstone Cattle came home with the second place.

Both Horn boys teams are now Amarillo bound come November. Briar is looking for his first world title and Branch is returning to Amarillo hunting a 3-peat!
