CALL FOR ENTRIES: The Museum of Art - DeLand announces the return of our National Juried Art Exhibition, FORM + SPACE 2026. This exhibition recognizes an expansive field of contemporary sculpture and the diverse practices of artists today who transform malleable materials into three-dimensional artworks.

Artists working in traditional and non-traditional sculptural materials are encouraged to apply. The exhibition will be on display at the Museum from October 31, 2026 – January 10, 2027, with an opening reception on October 30.

The exhibition will be curated by the Museum of Art - DeLand staff along with guest juror Wade MacDonald. An Assistant Professor at the University of Alabama, MacDonald has exhibited nationally and internationally and has completed artist residencies at the Banff Centre, Anderson Ranch Art Center, Red Lodge Clay Center, Zentrum für Keramik, and Watershed Center for the Ceramic Arts.

ARTIST OPPORTUNITY

Calling all South Florida Artists! 👀✈️

The Broward County Aviation Department, in collaboration with the Broward Cultural Division's Public Art & Design Program, invites professional South Florida artists to create an artwork on the exterior of an airplane that commemorates the 250th anniversary of the United States.

The selected design will transform the exterior of a non-operational Boeing 727 parked on the North Runway at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, celebrating American culture and history, patriotism, and community pride. This artwork should create a bold visual moment for travelers flying through FLL and drivers passing by on the highway.

Key Dates:
👉 Application deadline: Thursday, April 9, 2026
👉 Artist selected: May 2026
👉 Installation: July/August 2026

Budget: $95,000
Finalists will also receive a $1,000 honorarium for proposal and presentation expenses.
