LoveSpun Events and Styling Company encompasses all that brings joy and warmth and happiness in planning a special event. It's what happens when loved ones join together to create, by hand, all details of a labor of love. For years I told myself, I have such a passion for the industry, but if I can't bring something unique to the table, I would rather not become a business owner. Finally, it hit m
e. I feel that my well-rounded experience has proven to be invaluable. I have been in the service industry since I was 15 years old. I wanted to be an Event Planner as early as high school and always felt a draw to be a part of celebrations and events, especially being an empathetic nurturer and people pleaser at heart. It wasn't until 2008, while taking on a role of Bridal party attendant at a local venue in Haddam, Ct that I really felt that this could be a true calling. From that venue, I went to one of CT's Best catering companies on the shoreline. There I worked full-time as an event planner, plus supervised the weddings at several different CT venues. I also became a T.I.P.S certified bartender, an event designer and wore hats in many different roles in the planning process with that company. In 2011, I decided to take an unrelated job position in my hometown and still supervise weddings on the weekends as needed. I chose to focus much of my time on my family and new baby. Soon the need for a creative outlet in the wedding industry drew me to one of the most respected creatives in the industry and her business, a Chic Wedding Dress Boutique on the Shoreline. There I was educated on being a bridal stylist and learned about the different silhouettes of gowns, dress materials the process and timeline of wedding gown, bridesmaids and Mother-of-the-occasion shopping. It was the call I got last year that changed my mind and brought me here. From beginning to end, I obtained my first wedding client under LoveSpun Design. The end result was amazing and the whole time I felt like someone needed to pinch me. I was dreaming!! Also, I continue to take every opportunity to educate myself and keep abreast the latest developments in the industry. This has included attending workshops and trade shows in Las Vegas (hearing the nation’s leading event planners speak) , training courses with Altitude Summit and even signing up for tutorials by one of my most admired creatives in the industry! I have a hunger to learn and feel strongly that I will never be an expert there is always something more to take in and learn from. I come to each event with a fresh approach and an undying passion and excitement to share with my couples. Even after doing 100+ weddings, I still feel that same excitement and enthusiasm. I hope this helps you get to know me a bit. Please call me, as I would love to speak with you further about your special event!
