Lasr week I made some of the top tissue holders. Then I went hunting through the stores for the tissues. The last i knew they were still making the packs so you could pop them open and it matched the opening in the center. Um...NO! Not any more. They seal them up tight. I got to thinking and made the middle one to test an idea.

What do you think? Would you buy this new version? With the following being true...
..the tissue pack will require all the plastic wrap removed...the 1st one in the picture does not close tightly. This allows the tissues to come into contact with other items in your purse.

So i decided this chicken pattern needed sized up a little. The blue chick is slightly larger this made the pockets a bit larger for your fingers.....what do you think?

What i have been working on...

So I have been seeing these chicken oven gloves online and decided to make a couple testers. The first chicken i made is the one with yellow pockets for your fingers. That pattern was hard...seemed like steps were missing. I just didn't like how it turned out. The head and tail flopped over and would not stand up until I added stuffing to it and it still didn't meet my standard of what I expected.

Found a 2nd pattern. This one is the picture with the plume tail. I really like this one. Only thing is it turned out smaller. I think this pattern will work out. I'm going to make a 2nd one and Increase the size a little.

Yup, I'm rolling in it...lol
Probably a 2 day job sewing and cutting it into 8.5 squares.

Quilting friend...I'm looking for more. If you have fall off from having your quilts machine quilted and don't want to deal with it. Message me and I'll take it off your hands.

I have so much fun doing and enjoying it. It gives my much joy.

So what am I working on currently? Pairing up fabric and batting for the next several rounds of 8 inch square hotpads.

Remember all that Frankenbatting I made not too long ago. (See previous post)(YES, It's good stuff. It was just smaller pieces from making other projects)...it's going in these along with some new off the roll batting.

Sold! I had fun making these Turtle Mops. I drafted my own pattern from a picture. They came out larger than the ones I made last year. Started out with a hexagon and started sewing strips around it till I had the circle covered. They has 2 layers of towel. To be used on the floor for spills. Sold one to a friend recently. ENJOY!
