My week so far- collecting and photographing seed pods, fall blooms, and vines. Inspired to break out my oil pastels and work in my favorite black paper sketchbook. Soft pencil sketches of all the wild entanglements. Still obsessed with a nearby patch of swamp Thistle. Everything going to seed and floating away. Hello Autumn♥️🍁

A little update on my tiny Art studio shed! Had plywood wall panels installed and painted walls a lovely shade of light turquoise. Made a small curtain for the one window from vintage hankies, and wallpapered the top of one wall. ( Hated every minute of it!)
Built a table for Printing my block designs and put up a few shelves. Slowly hanging artwork as well😍
Tomorrow, I start building the large rolling file drawers. Sooo not looking forward to it because it's a LOT of pieces but with coffee and a good 90s playlist going, am going to tackle it🤪

Playing around this weekend with some quilt block inspired patterns! Am not a quilter myself, but there are a few in my family and have inherited some of their beautiful handmade quilts. I also, wanted to utilize a new color palette that I created from 1970s childhood snapshots.

Spent a quiet and sweet morning in my community garden sketching the Zinnias and Moonflowers and their takeover of my garden plot. The best kind of takeover( in my opinion!)😁
