We are incredibly excited about this new school opening in Chattanooga this coming school year for children with special needs. It is truly an honor to have been asked to serve as the art teacher for these amazing kids. This opportunity means so much to me, to meet them in their world, connect with them in meaningful ways, and help nurture their unique growth through creativity. These children have already made a profound impact on my life, and I am so grateful for the chance to pour back into them this year. 🤍

Downside Up is currently accepting students, so please take a look if you have a child who could benefit from this program, or if you know a family who might.

We have something important to share.
For years, families have told us the same thing:
Their children need a learning environment designed with them in mind — not one that asks them to fit into a system that was never built for them.
So we are building one.
Introducing The Willow School — a Downside Up program — opening in August in the greater Chattanooga area.
This program for preschool and elementary students is being created for children who benefit from a more personalized, supportive environment.
• 2:1 support
• Individualized learning plans
• Daily 1:1 academic time
• Significant time outside each day
We’ve already secured a preschool lead teacher and several additional staff members — all trusted, experienced individuals who have worked with Downside Up and are truly the best of the best.
We are continuing to thoughtfully build this program — including location and final logistics — and are taking great care to ensure the right environment for the children we will serve.

The gala last night was incredibly powerful! I’m so grateful God is using my art to play even a small part in what He’s doing through this ministry. It’s inspiring to see the life-changing impact A Hand Up is having on this community.

The live painting I created during the event auctioned for $2,100! Congratulations to Morris and Lisa Morrison on winning the piece. And thank you to everyone who so generously supports this amazing organization! 🤍

I’m so excited to create another live painting at this annual gala with ! The piece will come to life throughout the evening, and the finished artwork will be auctioned at the end to support their mission.

It’s inspiring to see how God is using their rehabilitation work to change lives and impact the community. The evening will include dinner, incredible music, powerful testimonies, and a silent auction. Join us for a night of celebration and hope! ✨

This past weekend, I had the pleasure of painting at my friend’s beautiful farm during the Tulip Festival. The views and experience were incredibly inspiring! Fittingly, this original painting now calls Sanctuary Ridge Farm home.

Art prints and greeting cards will be available soon, with profits benefiting at the request of the Scotts. Keep an eye out for the upcoming print sale post with pricing, and consider supporting a great cause! 🤍

Last weekend, I had the privilege of finishing and delivering this painting to a friend as a surprise birthday gift for her husband, who happens to share my birthday.

This piece was especially meaningful to me because their sweet baby, Hazel, was born with spastic quad cerebral palsy like mine. Painting her tiny hands, in particular, felt deeply personal as they reminded me so much of my own.

I had the chance to meet Hazel when I delivered the painting, and she immediately stole my heart. Though she was born with additional challenges, including blindness, she continues to grow stronger every day.
Hazel and her family are often in my thoughts and prayers. Hearing even a small part of their story was such a blessing, they are truly a beautiful family.

Super excited to announce this collaboration with my wonderful lifelong friends at Sanctuary Ridge Farms this month! During the opening weekend of their Tulip Festival, I’ll be doing a live painting of their beautiful fields and scenery. The original painting will be available for purchase, along with art prints and greeting cards of the piece. All profits will go to Amani Baby Cottage Orphanage.

We would love to see you there on March 28 and truly appreciate any support for the farm and the orphanage! 🌷🎨
