Good evening, Survivors and Zombies!

The zombie apocalypse continues this Saturday, and we are excited to welcome everyone back for another exciting chapter of our Run For Your Life Zombie Series!

We wanted to share a few important updates about T-shirts, finisher medals, early packet pickup, and some special surprises!

Run For Your Life: Secure the Blood Supply

Race Day Pre Check In 5:00pm

Race Start: 6:30 PM

Zombies will arrive for make up at anytime after 5pm

T-SHIRT GUARANTEE
If you registered as a runner or zombie volunteer on or before October 3, 2026, you are guaranteed a T-shirt!

If you registered after October 3, we will have a limited number of extra T-shirts available. Sizes and availability cannot be guaranteed, and extra shirts will be distributed while supplies last.

EVERY RUNNER EARNS A FINISHER MEDAL!
Whether you make it through the infected zones with your flags or lose them to the zombies, every runner who finishes will receive a finisher medal!

That's right! Survivor or infected, your accomplishment deserves to be celebrated!

SECURE THE BLOOD SUPPLY!
Your mission this week is to travel through the infected zones and secure the blood supply before it's too late!

Every runner will receive a blood bag filled with RED Gatorade that you get to KEEP as a souvenir!

And don't worry, it's not real blood! Just a fun way to stay hydrated while saving the world from the zombie apocalypse.

Whether you survive or become infected, the blood bag is yours to keep!

SPECIAL GIVEAWAY – FREE FOAM GLOW STICKS!
We're adding a little extra glow to the zombie apocalypse!

SURVIVORS: The first 25 runners to pick up their race packets will receive a FREE WHITE foam glow stick!

ZOMBIES: Our Zombie Response Team will receive RED foam glow sticks to help bring the infected zones to life!

Glow sticks are available while supplies last.

OPTIONAL EARLY PACKET PICKUP
Want to skip the race-day check-in line and increase your chances of getting a glow stick? We encourage you to join us for early packet pickup!

Forget your traditional 5K! Every participant receives a flag football belt at check-in.

As you run or walk along the paved course, zombies will be waiting in designated infected zones, trying to steal your flags!

Keep your flags? You're a SURVIVOR!

Lose even one flag? You're INFECTED!

But don't worry! Even if you become infected, you can still finish the race and earn your medal!

YOUR MISSION: RECOVER THE BLOOD SUPPLY!

Our scientists are desperately trying to develop a cure, but they're running out of blood!

Your mission is to travel through the infected zones, recover a blood bag, and safely transport it back to headquarters.

AND YOU GET TO KEEP YOUR BLOOD BAG!

The city has fallen. The infected are everywhere. And our medical team is running out of time.

There’s a severe blood shortage—and without it, the cure cannot be completed.

YOUR MISSION:
Make your way through the infected zones, outrun the zombies, secure the remaining blood supply, and deliver it safely back to headquarters.

But there’s one problem…

The zombies want your flags.

Every runner will wear a flag football belt while traveling through a paved course filled with designated Zombie Infected Areas. Keep your flags and you SURVIVE. Lose even one and you’re INFECTED—but you still finish and earn your medal!

1 Mile — 2 Infected Zone encounters
5K — 6 Infected Zone encounters
10K — 12 Infected Zone encounters
15K — 18 Infected Zone encounters

Thank you to everyone who came out tonight for The City Collapsed, Part 2 of the Run For Your Life series!

We hope you had an amazing time completing your mission, making your way through the infected zones, and trying to keep those flags away from our zombies!

RACE DAY UPDATE — THE CITY COLLAPSED

Tomorrow night, the next chapter of the Run For Your Life Series begins at Fairborn Community Park!

Saturday, October 3, 2026
Packet Pickup: Begins at 5:00 PM
Zombie Makeup: Begins at 5:30 PM
Race Start: 6:30 PM
Distances: 1 Mile, 5K, 10K & 15K

The first 25 runners to come through packet pickup will receive a FREE Run Ohio Races cooling towel! Come early while supplies last.

This is not your average race.

Every runner will receive a flag football belt and flags before starting their mission. You’ll travel along a paved course through the park while our family-friendly zombies wait in designated infected zones trying to steal your flags.

Keep all your flags and you survive.

Lose even one flag and you’re infected — but don’t worry, you still earn your finisher medal!

IMPORTANT: All runners must return their flag football belt at the finish line to receive their medal.

Zombie volunteers should plan to arrive for makeup beginning at 5:30 PM. Makeup will be provided, or you are welcome to arrive in your own zombie makeup and costume.

Run it. Walk it. Bring the family. Just try not to get infected.

We have heard news of undead at the Fairborn community park. Our scientists at Run Ohio Races believe they may have found the cure. We tested it on our Zombie Response Team before our Com system went dark. We need your help.
