This one was so fun to create of my daughter, she was doing a silly face and I thought it was cute. Just a stress relief piece. No rhyme or reason except to create.

This one was fun! It's a silly portrait of my daughter. I thought she was cute and cheeky.

"Why legacy portraits? My loved one is not here anymore and I know I can't bring them back."

This is a question I was asked the other day, and my response was simple.

**I'm not trying to bring back your loved one.**

My purpose is to take the people you love most and put them all into one scene—a single moment in time where your favorite people, past and present, are together.

When you look at it, I want you to feel pure joy.

Even if a loved one didn't get the chance to meet a new addition to your family, your brain gets to look at them all at once. It’s a way to heal your heart and fill a missing piece of the puzzle. It's about creating a new memory, a perfect scene where everyone is right where they're meant to be.

What memory would you love to see brought to life? 👇

Hello and welcome!

I’m Courtney Burke, the artist and designer behind Jack Harp Designs. As a wife, mother, and creative spirit, my world is a vibrant mix of family, faith, and art. The heart of my business is a tribute to my two amazing kids, Leo Jackson and Lillian Harper, whose names inspired the brand.

My artistic journey began in childhood and quickly blossomed into a lifelong passion. While I enjoy a little bit of everything, my favorite subject is the human face. I believe every person is a unique masterpiece, and I find so much joy in capturing that individual beauty on canvas. My style is a reflection of my own personality—a bit quirky, with a big smile, a loud laugh, and an endless search for the beauty in everyday life.

When I’m not at my easel, you can find me singing, camping, and hiking, all while wearing big earrings, surrounded by vibrant colors, and probably with a cookie in hand!

I am so grateful to share this journey with you. Thank you for being here! Every like, comment, and share means the world to me and helps my small business grow. I’m continuously learning and evolving in my craft, and your support makes it all possible.

A Legacy of Love on Canvas

This spring, I got to work on one of the most heartwarming projects! ✨ I created a **legacy portrait** for a sweet family, depicting Grandpa with his newest **great-granddaughter**. It's incredible to use art to bridge gaps and create connections that transcend time. So much joy in this piece!

I did this one as a gift in the fall.
I was playing around with prisma colored pencils as I haven't worked in that medium for quite some time.

What are your thoughts keep trying at prisma or stick with acrylics?
