Davis Music Festival SXSW-style event in Davis, CA. It’s like our own version of SXSW in a single weekend, and for a great cause! This event is all ages.

Wristbands allow access into a variety of venues so that fans can choose their own schedule to try and catch as many sets as they desire. Davis Music Festival (DMF) is a three day multi-venue multi-genre live music event showcasing local, regional and touring artists – all to benefit local arts nonprofits. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. The festival takes place rain or shine (tho

ugh we probably will never have to worry about rain on a June day in Davis, CA). Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. Lineup and daily schedules are subject to change. Artist cancellation is not grounds for refund. DMF is a production of the Davis Live Music Collective and is presented with generous support of our sponsors, members, individual producers and community partners. PROOF OF VACCINATION AGAINST COVID-19 MUST BE PROVIDED TO ATTEND, NO EXCEPTIONS. DMF is supported, in part, by a grant from the City of Davis Arts & Cultural Affairs program.

The band is an undeniable and infectious Oakland-based Afro-psychedelic rock band blending Malian vocals, West African traditions, and 1970s-inspired funk/rock. Congratulations to violinist Jenna Son, recipient of the 2026 Matthew Blake Memorial Scholarship!

Jenna was selected for her outstanding musical accomplishments, dedication to her craft, and commitment to pursuing the arts beyond graduation from Davis Senior High School this month. As she continues her artistic journey, she embodies the creativity, passion, and perseverance that this scholarship was created to support.

Funded through proceeds from last year’s Davis Music Fest, the Matthew Blake Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a graduating Davis high school student planning to pursue music or the performing and visual arts through higher education or professional practice. The scholarship reflects our commitment to supporting young artists as they grow beyond our community while carrying the values of creativity, collaboration, and artistic expression with them.

Founded in 2012, the Davis Live Music Collective and its annual Davis Music Fest work to strengthen our community through live music while supporting arts education in Davis public schools. We are proud to honor the memory of past president and DJUSD parent Matt Blake by helping the next generation of artists take their next steps forward.

And the story doesn’t end with Jenna. Proceeds from this year’s Davis Music Fest (happening June 19-21!) will help fund next year’s Matthew Blake Memorial Scholarship recipient, ensuring that the festival’s impact extends far beyond the stage and directly supports the future of the arts in our community.
