What Guests Don’t Realize About Vacation Homes

Booking a vacation home is different from booking a hotel—and that’s part of the experience.

Here are a few things many guests don’t realize:

🏡 The home is privately owned. Every reservation helps support a real homeowner, not a large hotel chain.

🛠️ Things can occasionally go wrong. A pool pump, Wi-Fi router, or appliance may fail unexpectedly. Reporting it during your stay allows us to fix it quickly.

🌴 Florida’s climate is unique. Heat, humidity, afternoon storms, insects, and wildlife are all part of living in the Sunshine State.

💦 Pool heat isn’t automatic. Heating a large swimming pool requires significant energy, which is why it’s often an optional service.

🧹 Vacation homes aren’t serviced daily like hotels. They’re professionally cleaned before your arrival, but there isn’t daily housekeeping unless it’s arranged in advance.

Why the Cheapest Property Management Company Can Cost You More

Choosing a property management company based solely on the lowest fee can be an expensive mistake.

A lower management fee doesn’t always mean lower costs. It can mean fewer inspections, slower maintenance, less experienced staff, weaker guest screening, poor communication, and pricing strategies that leave money on the table.
