I fell in love with music at a really young age and from that moment I’ve let music guide me through everything. Years ago music led me to a little festival in Washington called Folklife. I met so many people there that became lifelong friends and it’s where I met Jason O’Dea Now, all these years later we got to see each other again all the way on the other side of the country and pick a few tunes over some coffee and bagels. Jason and his band are the real deal. The music they make is from the life they’ve lived and they’ve sweat and bled for every lyric and every note. It was so inspiring to spend a morning with them. It felt like home. Go see them play! Buy some merch! Support the artists like this who are out there putting it all on the line to bring you an experience only a human who’s lived such a life could deliver.

I’m looking forward to playing some music with my buddy Nathan Rivera this week. It’s always crazy when we get together. If you’ve seen us together then you already know. Come hang with us this Wednesday 9/16 Sworn Brewing Company in Mechanicsburg. 5-8pm.

Today has been hard. Thinking back on all the times I had with you. The good and bad. Highs and lows. I had some of the stupidest times with you and I mean that in a good way. I never realized how much I really learned being in Yes Ma’am. All those hours just playing as hard and fast as I possibly could just trying to make you smile and laugh. Always in aw of your massive voice and your ability to just work a crowd. You weren’t perfect by any stretch. You were just human. You had a good heart. Not everyone got to see it I guess but I definitely did. It’s been a long time since we saw each other and I’m sad to know I’ll never get to do another super band with you and hear you call out “SHINE!” and rip a crazy solo over some good ol’ blues. I’m sad that it ended like this. I hope you finally found a gal on the other side with great big…..eyes. I love you dude.

Some photos from July so far and the weekly update! Thursday I’ll be at Harvest Seasonal in HBG 6-8pm Friday night I’ll be in Rehoboth at Dogfish Head from 9-10:30pm Saturday I’m playing a private event at a place known as Mother Ocean and Sunday I’ll be at Wolf Brewing Co.® from 11-2pm for an awesome brunch. I’d love to see y’all out there!! Four leaf clover, Juniper, destructive Mother Nature, lost Zyn, my favorite tree, shadow walking, the nephew, the Jessie special coffee, twinning, snoozing, bugging, beware of the night shark, I’m ready for fall ❤️

Having some fun with the new pickup and some old toys I had lying around. Used the K.O. ii to make a simple beat and then laid down some rhythm to solo over. So many possibilities with this setup and I’m barely scratching the surface. I’m excited to explore some more.

Life has been wild lately. The universe has been pushing me in a very specific direction and it’s all aiming towards more music. The warehouse gig I’ve been working for 6 years is shutting down and all I got was a lousy t-shirt. On the other hand I’m totally in love with the coolest person I’ve ever met. I’ve got beautiful friends who are succeeding beyond their widest dreams and I have other beautiful friends who are struggling. I guess that is life but summing it up like that isn’t easy. It’s all over the place but it’s been more inspiring than ever. I’ve written quite a few new tunes and this one is the most fleshed out. It’s called “Shades and Hues” I’ve been wanting to share it. I’ll be going back to being a full time musician again. It’s exciting because it’s my true passion but it’s also kinda scary. Anyway I hope you enjoy this song and I hope to see you out at a show. Thanks for hearing me out ❤️ I love you ❤️
