IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:
Hello everyone! We would like to take a second to announce some very important updates with Shakespeare Festival.
Summer is an incredibly busy time of year, and with that comes its ups and downs. Because of conflicts and general timeline, we have decided to move Shakespeare Festival to October. We’re still working out the exact dates, but it’ll still be a 2-day weekend event! So now, you don’t have to worry about missing out on our event because of summer vacation plans; just join us in the fall!
After careful consideration, we have also decided to change our performance to instead be a showcase of some of Shakespeare’s greatest works instead of a full-length play. Danville has never had a Shakespeare-centered event before, and so we want to give our audience more of his works to enjoy rather than just the one show. Although we’ve offered spots to some actors, this allows us to be able to cast more people of a wide variety of ages and experience levels. We will have another round of auditions come autumn for more actors to get involved!
We hope that you’ll join us in the fall for both the auditions and the festival, and we can’t wait to see you there.
