JUROR ANNOUNCEMENT: Visual Arts Guild of Frisco presents Artrageous 2026 and welcomes our Main Artistic Juror, Phaneendra "PG" Gud, Professional Portrait Photographer!

Phaneendra Gudapati is a portrait artist located in Plano, TX. He is inspired by classical portraiture, paintings by old masters, and fashion, and loves to create a fusion between fine art and fashion in his work.

PG is a self-confessed "technology ju**ie," always learning about the craft of photography. He loves to develop his imagery using various techniques to bring his artistic vision to life.

PG is the recipient of PPA's Imaging Excellence award, PPA Master of Photography, Master of WPPI, PPA Photographic Craftsman, Certified Professional Photographer, and Adobe Certified Photoshop Expert. He is also currently serving as Treasurer on the Professional Photographers of America Board of Directors.

EXTENDED Submission deadline: May 6, 2026

Visual Arts Guild of Frisco is calling all visual artists in North Texas to submit their finest work for "Artrageous 2026" - an open-theme exhibition at the Frisco Discovery Center.

ENTRY FEE: Submission is open to the public; submission fee is $45, and VAGF members receive a $10 discount (please email [email protected] for the member code).

Unlike prior years, this edition of Artrageous has an optional theme. Because the exhibit coincides with the World Cup, the theme is "The Fans". The exhibit will include an activation by the Public Art program of Play Frisco, where visitors can share their experiences as a "fan" and be featured periodically.

Entries will be accepted in the categories of Painting, Drawing, Photography, Mixed Media, and Sculpture. All works must be the original concept of the artist and must not have been previously shown in juried VAGF shows.

Due to space limitations, art pieces cannot exceed 72 inches in either direction (including the frame).

If interested, submit up to 3 images of your artworks as JPEG for consideration by EXTENDED DEADLINE of May 6, 2026. The show will be curated by several visual art professionals; submission does not guarantee acceptance and the submission fee is non-refundable. EXTENDED DEADLINE!

Funky Fun Modern Call for Art!

The newest VAGF partner gallery is The Gallery, a beautiful new residential building (still under construction) in the heart of the Rail District in Frisco, TX at 4th and Ash St. developed and owned by CAP Multifamily.

The artists are asked to submit up to five images; submission fee for the first 3 is $10.00, with an option to purchase two more submissions for an additional total of $4.00.

Some of the artworks may be purchased for permanent decoration of the residential hallways. Other artwork may be included as part of a rotating art gallery. Please include the price of the artwork in the Notes section, as well.

2D hanging artworks only and must measure at least 16" by 16" and up to 60" maximum size! This means each dimension to be at least 16 inches and no more than 60 inches. (NOT including the frame)

Theme: “Funky Modern Colorful / Mixed Media and Collage” all mediums welcome!

In partnership with Sweetwaters Coffee and Tea Shop in Frisco, VAGF presents Art Exhibit at Sweetwaters! The theme for this show is "Seascapes".

Painting in the Parks and Playing Artistically with En Plein Frisco 2026! Congratulations to all artists who ventured out last weekend and enjoyed the everchanging landscapes and weather that Frisco, TX had to offer. We thank our Main Artistic Juror, Cheryl Mabry and our Art That Speaks to Me Juror, Councilwomen Ann Anderson for their delightful comments as they announced the award recipients for our 4th annual event in association with Play Frisco.

Visual Arts Guild of Frisco is honored to be invited to exhibit local art at one of the top destinations in town, the Frisco Public Library. The theme for this show is "Chasing the Sun".

Entries will be accepted in the categories of Painting, Drawing, Photography, and Mixed Media. All works must be the original concept of the artist. Multi-unit works must be connected so that they can be hung / displayed as a single unit.

Hanging artworks should be no wider than 60 inches, and no taller than 60 inches. Minimum sizes on either side 24x24 inches (including the frame in all artwork).
