Good morning! Lauren here, and I'm sharing a quick peek behind the scenes to see how we prep our texture. My favorite texture medium is wallpaper, and I've developed quite the wallpaper addiction! 😏 I also work with modeling paste and stencils to get some great texture. I found that the modeling paste method can be a lot more time consuming, however, and, because I'm a klutz, it also quite the messy endeavor! 😑

So here are two questions for all of the amazing crafters out there who use texture in their work: what do you use for texture, and which one is your favorite? 🤔❓

If Lauren forgot to mention anyone featured, please excuse her! It's one of those crazy days (sorry, Kim!). We apologize for our lack of recent updates! Lauren has unfortunately had some medical setbacks, but she is now home, doing well, and ready to craft! Updates will follow on what we are up to in the workroom and workshop, as well as our upcoming workshop events at the Back Mountain Makery that we are really excited about! We thank all of our followers for hanging in there with us, and we welcome our new followers! Another successful workshop is complete! Our group of women knocked it out of the park at last night's Rustic Rainy Day Trio workshop at the Back Mountain Makery! Their custom designs ranged from beautiful brights to classic rustic colors, and the decorative items were brilliantly applied! Rain boots, umbrellas, and flowers never looked so good! ☔🌸🏵️ Thank you so very much to our participants! We can't wait until the next workshop! 💓☺️🎨🖌️

P.S. Ever wonder what those take-home kits we are always mentioning look like? Check out the attached photo for an example of one we provided for one participant. Textured wood pieces, paint, brushes, palette, foam brush, antiquing brush, sandpaper, and decorative elements are all included so you can make beautiful pieces from the comfort of your home! Here we go! Tonight's the big night for our Rustic Rainy Day Trio workshop at the Back Mountain Makery! Storage bins are packed and basically exploding with items that make this event like a surprise party for our attendees! What can we say? We're like the ultimate party planners, but instead of noise makers and confetti, we bring handmade goodness. We're talking tables upon tables of crafty delights. Tonight is going to be a blast as we welcome the spring rain and all the flowers that come with it! ☔⛈️🌦️🌸🏵️🌼🪻

We decided to be a bit vulnerable and open ourselves up for reviews. 😳 On one hand, we would love to get feedback. On the other hand, although the negative reviews can act as constructive criticism, they can be a little painful to receive. 😬 However, we want to hear the HONEST truth from everyone to help us to develop. 👩🏻‍🎨👨🏻‍🎨🎨🖌️
