It's my birthday & I have something for you. 🎁

I think the internet has accidentally convinced people that original art is only for rich people with beige houses and perfect lives.

Respectfully… no 💜

Some of the people who have connected most deeply with my work are the ones walking through hard seasons. The ones rebuilding. The ones trying to make their home feel safe again. The ones craving beauty, joy, hope, color, peace.

That matters to me.

I really believe art isn’t just decoration. It becomes part of your life. Part of the feeling of a space. Part of the version of you that exists there.

So for my birthday month 🎉, I decided to create something I’ve been thinking about for a long time.

This Saturday, newsletter subscribers are getting access to private collector studio pricing on all web-exclusive originals and prints. A monthly exclusive code giving them special pricing. 🤩

It's the biggest I'll do this year and it’s kind of a wild one 😂

If you’ve been wanting a piece, this is probably the moment.

I’ve been called a lot of things 🫠

Too intense. Too loud. Too playful. Too much.

And for the longest time I tried to sort through it.

Like, okay, which parts of me are "allowed" to stay
and which ones need to go? 🙄

But the more I tried to shrink it down, the more it just felt wrong.

Because I don’t think we’re meant to be one thing at a time. I think we’re meant to hold a lot.

To care deeply,
to feel things fully,
to work hard,
to be playful,
to be soft and strong in the same breath.

✨ Not perfectly balanced, just fully ourselves. ✨

And maybe the people who call that "too much"
just don’t know what to do with something that doesn’t flatten. 💃

So if you’ve ever felt like you needed to tone yourself down to be easier to understand or easier to hold, you’re not alone in that,

But also, you might not be too much...
You might just be exactly who you’re supposed to be. 💜

I’ve been shipping out print orders lately and I realized I don’t think I’ve ever actually shown this part. ✨

I go through multiple test prints adjusting color and detail until it *actually* matches the painting.

Like same size,
side by side,
and you can still see the canvas texture,
the paint,
all of it.

Otherwise I just won’t release it,
which has definitely delayed things before 😄

Because the whole point of prints (for me at least) is that if you can’t have the original you still get something that feels really, really close.

Not a watered down version or "inspired by,"
just as close as I can possibly get it.

Prints are available for all of my paintings
if you’ve been waiting for one 💜

You don’t have to become someone else to succeed. ✨

I wrote this for Milan (they sent it out to their subscribers this week), and this is the part I’m keeping:

I get to decide the kind of artist I become.

I don't want to build something that only works if I shrink, compete, or reshape myself to fit the room.

There’s more than one way to do this. 💃

If you’ve been feeling that pressure too… you’re not crazy.

You don’t have to follow it 🤍

You don’t have to become someone new…
you just have to stop shrinking ✨

I think so many of us spend so much time
trying to be easier to hold,
easier to understand,
easier to accept.

Quieter.
Smaller.
More… "manageable." 🙄

Sometimes because we’ve been carrying things
that no one else could see
for so much longer than we expected.

And at some point you realize
that version of you was never actually you.

It was just the version that got you through.

And maybe you needed her for a while,
but you don’t have to stay there.

So take a lesson from me:
If you’ve been feeling the pull,
to take up space again,
to say the thing,
to show up differently,
to stop editing yourself into something
more comfortable for everyone else...

That’s not you doing too much.
That’s you coming back to yourself.

And it might feel loud…
but maybe it’s supposed to 💜

Turns out I can draw under pressure 👁️✨

This was from a drawing challenge on the show, and it took first 🥇 which felt… quite satisfying.

Also made it into the top 6 that round. 💃

There’s nowhere to hide in drawing.

No color,
no texture,
no “let me distract you with something shiny.”

Just your hand and what it actually knows.
And that tells you more than anything.

The fundamentals aren’t flashy,
but they’re the reason anything works at all.

They’re the quiet thing underneath everything you build.

Anyway… more coming when the show returns, and you’ll get to see some progression pics of the paintings from these next rounds 💜

She’s watching… and she knows things 👁️

Not everything loud is right ✨

Some people will speak with so much certainty
you’d think they got promoted overnight to CEO of Your Life.

Full board meeting.
No invite.

Opinions. Predictions.
Confidence with zero credentials.

And for a second… it works.
You start wondering if you missed something,
if you need to explain yourself better,
say it differently & make it make sense to them.

But then something clicks...

Oh.

I don’t actually need to respond to this. 🙂

Because once you know where you stand
the pressure to convince everyone else
kind of… expires.

The noise is still there,
it just doesn’t land the same.

You stop over-explaining,
stop rehearsing arguments in your head,
stop trying to win rooms you were never meant to perform in.

You just stay where you are.

And somehow
that quiet confidence?

…way louder than all of it 🤍
