Sunday, May 24th, 2026 @ 6pm "Indigenous Blues Festival." This Festival will showcase the musical talent of our surrounding pueblo and native tribe musicians, who have written their own music and created their unique interpretations of the Blues genre for both performance and recording.

Where: The Homestead Village Shopping Center, 221 Hwy 165, Placitas, NM.

Gates open 1 hour before the show. Bring a Chair & Picnic

Attention Canyon Blues and Jazz fans:

The Sandia Chill 2026 Season individual concert tickets can be purchased online now!

Please go to https:// canyonbluesandjazz.org/ and click on Tickets to go to the ticketing page to purchase tickets for the upcoming Sunday, May 24th, Memorial Day Blues Festival, “Indigenous Blues.”

Tickets for the other four 2026 Sandia Chill concerts are also on sale now. The adult prices for the online and gate tickets are listed. Gate
Tickets are sold when the General Admission gate opens as indicated for each concert.
Youth 16 and under, accompanied by an adult, are free.

If you plan to attend most of the concerts and/ or want to have tickets readily available for your family and friends, the most cost-effective way is to purchase a Sandia Chill 2026 season membership. These can be purchased on the home page of
CanyonBluesandJazz.org. There are three different levels of membership (Silver, Gold, and Platinum) that provide a specified number of tickets via a card that is punched at
the gate. As a member, you are considered a VIP and are allowed early access to the seating area at least an hour ahead of the concert. The membership cards will be available for use and early pickup before the May 24 Memorial Day Blues Festival.
If you have already purchased your 2026 Sandia Chill concert memberships online, the Canyon Blues and Jazz Board of Directors thanks you! You will be notified before the Memorial Day Blues Festival Concert in mid-May for pickup instructions. Just show
your receipt and or indicate your name, and we will have your card ready. We have records of purchase in the event you have misplaced your receipt.

Finally, we would like to thank our 2026 Patron Sponsors! Their business logos will be displayed on our stage banner at the concerts and presented in our new concert trifold format that will be available locally in Placitas, Bernalillo, and select businesses in the greater Albuquerque area in early May and distributed at the concerts, too. Please support our season concert business sponsors.
In addition to purchasing tickets, we appreciate specific concert underwriting donations and general donations to the Canyon Blues and Jazz, a charitable 501(c) 3 non-profit that presents quality blues and jazz concerts, which in turn benefit specified local charities from the ticketing proceeds.

The 2026 Sandia Chill Summer Concerts are fast approaching. We currently have memberships available through our website.

Individual concert tickets will go on sale starting May 1st, with our first show, the "Indigenous Blues Festival," on May 24th.

The Canyon Blues and Jazz organization is a 501(c)(3) not-for- profit, driven by an all-volunteer workforce. Canyon Blues and Jazz presents staged outdoor evening “Sandia Chill Concerts” at the Placitas Homestead Village shopping center parking lot. Canyon Blues and Jazz Home of the Sandia Chill Concerts
Welcome Concert Fans, Members, and Sponsors.

The Canyon Blues and Jazz Board has been busy since the close of the last season, planning and contracting musical entertainment for the upcoming Sandia Chill concert season, which starts on
Memorial Day weekend. The entertainment will include a combination of new and all-time favorite bands and vocalists.

Concerts Reveal for the Canyon Blues and Jazz
2026 Sandia Chill Season:

6:00 pm Sunday, 5.24 Memorial Day Blues Festival: “Indigenous Blues.”
This Festival will showcase the musical talent of our surrounding pueblo and native tribe musicians, who have written their own music and created their unique interpretations of
the Blues genre for both performance and recording:
· CW Ayon – Las Cruces, NM native of Cheyenne descent, debuting on ,the Sandia Chill stage with his Delta blues style. CW has played in several ABQ venues and clubs.
· Turquoise Steel – Navajo family band from Albuquerque, debuting with their original energetic blend of blues/ rock music
· Stanlie Kee - Navajo guitarist, returning to the stage with his youthful twist on classic blues.
· Levi Platero – Awe-inspiring Navajo guitarist Levi Platero and family blues-rock band, returning to the stage.

7:00 pm Sunday, 6.14 “Veterans Appreciation Concert.”
This concert will honor our local Veterans on Flag Day with two crowd-pleasing bands:
· CS Rock Show – Featuring Don Curry and his band playing classic rock favorites.
· Felix y los Gatos – Featuring Felix Peralta (vocals/ guitar) and improvising with their signature New Mexico “Zydetejana” sound - a mix of blues, zydeco, and swing.

7:00 pm Sunday, 7.12 “American Jazz Celebration.”
Will include the following bands specializing in both contemporary and jazz standards that we all love:
· Jazz Traveler - Debuting with Placitas musicians Chris Livingston on guitar and George Kapalka on keys, along with their Albuquerque friends.
· Albuquerque Jazz Orchestra (19-piece) with vocal chanteuse Hillary Smith

7:00 pm Sunday, 8.16 “Soul, Funk and Jazz”
· Ryan Montaño – Featuring Grammy award-winning trumpeter Ryan Montaño and friends with vocalists Andrew Cooper and Rebecca Arscott . The title says it all.

6:00 pm Sunday, 9 9. Labor Day Blues Festival
Our annual LBD Blues Festival has become a traditional way to celebrate the end of the outdoor concert summer season.
· Jay Boy Adams with Zenobia and Woody Key - Returning to the stage with their refreshing and personal “Americana” version of the Blues. If you missed last year’s June concert featuring this group, this is your opportunity to experience what others raved about.
· Big Suitcase - Santa Fe Blues/ Soul/ Funk band featuring vocalist Myrrinne Fowler and guitarist Tiho Dimitrov. This Blues/ Soul/ Funk band is very popular in the Santa Fe area. “Suitcase” stands for a revolving group of local band musicians. Tiho has performed as a featured guitarist and vocalist at the New Mexico Jazz Workshop.
· The Rudy Boy Experiment - Featuring Rudy Boy Jaramillo and band returning to the stage with their distinctive high-energy blues, rock, and soul that will keep you dancing till the end.
